Please let us know your internet connection speed so that we can improve our website to fit everyone's connection.

I am using 150kb/25kb ADSL connection. The download speed is quit ok. but When i am seeding it's abit slow so i can only seed 1 torrent at a time. If you want me to upload more good stuff then you will need to help me seed after you complete the download. :) Because if i have to keep seeding on the same old torrent then i won't beable to upload new torrents.

I'm on 384 / 128 Wireless. It's awesome because I have ABSOLUTELY NO Bandwidth limits, and my ISP is on don't ask don't tell grounds with all people.

The only other alternitive is Sattilite or 56k, and even with a 1024 kbps downstream, Sat gives you such a shitty FAP (fair access Policy) that if you download more than 15-20 kb/s for 2 hours you get disconnected. Completely pointless.

If you limit your upload speed a little you'd get better downstream speeds. You're choking your bandwidth uploading that fast. I had the same problem before I found a BT program that capped upload speeds. Now I can cap it at about a little over half upstream and still pull almost full speed down.

I believe it is 786 kilobits/256 kilobits (or for those who prefer kilobytes, 96KB/32KB) cable internet. The former numbers being download, the latter upload.

3mbit/256kbit. Comcast is finally upgrading everyone to 4.0/384 as their base package in early 2005. About bloody time. At least they're good about the advertised speeds, since I actually hit those limits....

I might spring for the 5mbit/768kbit package they're offering when they upgrade everyone. It's only 10$USD more, so I'm really thinking about it.

I have a 384/128kbps DSL connection that only downloads at 40kB/s max (that's only 320kbps). I'm thinking it is the heavy overhead but this is obviously due to my sucky ISP and their sucky telephone lines.

Despite the low upload bandwidth, I manage to keep a decent ul/dl ratio because most of the time I don't download too much from Hongfire anyway...

Home 1 (during weekends @ parents): adsl
dl:416 Kbit/s (52 Kbyte/s)
ul:160 Kbit/s (20 Kbyte/s)

Here, at home 2 (living on my own): cable (shared w/ 5 other people)
Rule #1 here: no dl/ul between 9 am and 12.00 midnight 0_o;;

dl: 80 KB/s
ul: 20 KB/s


ISP of Home 1 S*ck* big time. They are expensive (compared to other isp) and their service is as bad as.....*name something..bah*
