i was wondering why those games arent translated in english, most of those games are kickass games (Gensosangokushi is a fine example).. problem is. i get stuck in some part cuz i cant understand what needs to be done.

another problem is the price it would cost to buy those games, i checked for gurumin and it would cost me around 90$USD to get a game i'm not even sure of being able to play since its not in english.

i would gladly pay around 50-60 dollars in a store for like Ys VI english. but since this thing isnt happening right now, i prefer getting them over the internet. i suppose it would cost falcom money to translate the game into english but i know a lot of people would enjoy playing these games instead of "The Legend of Zelda - The Minish Cap"..

i was wondering too, what games looked a lot like Ys VI - The Ark of Napishtim. or Gensosangokushi, if someone could list games like that in this thread i'd be happy to check them out.

Various Translation groups have translated the Y's games; Books 1 & 2, Wanderers, Mask of the Sun and Dawn of Y's, Still no Sand City Kefin, but somebody is translating Y's VI, and Y's 1+2 Eternal is almost finished (Book 1 is complete, Book 2 is nearing completion.)

I'd love to see someone translate the Sorcerian or Brandish games myself, especially Sorcerian Forever and Brandish 4!

If this was the H-game board, I would be posting about how the Japanese companies are huge assholes and either refuse to liscense their games out or request ridiculous fees for doing so.

However, the company is Falcom, so I have a different answer.

Amusingly, Falcom is a Japanese company that actually WANTS to bring it's games to the english market. However, they are usually unable to find a publisher to do so. I think it took quite a while before they found Konami to publish Ys 6 for them.

About Gensosangokushi, I think the problem here is that Falcom didn't make the game IIRC, it's a chinese game that's translated and then published by Falcom. They just have the localization rights you could say.
