Does Kamen Riders belong to Japanese Dramas? XD

Don't know if this qualifies but there are many new good drama's and live actions. The latest that I have seen is Sailor Moon Live actually is pretty good, it is getting interesting now that it will end soon on episode 46 and ends at 50. Although I hear rumors of another season in the future. 9 Tail fox is another one (cannot remember the full title).
IF you want new ones a good magazine to get which is fairly new is NewType Live.
I am new to the live action Drama scene so if anyone can recommend any let me know. I know some Japanese (mostly learning it from my wife who is pretty proficient).
Thanks

Here are some good ones. I don't really like the anime live actions. Like they make the anime story into live. becoz no matter how they act the actors face impression just can't be as good as anime.
For example:
I watched GTO live action. and i thought it was a awsome drama. But then after i read and watched GTO manga, and if you tell me to go back to watch GTO live action again i wouldn't want to watch it. Because live action base on anime story are not as good as the oringal story.
There are many oringal story japanese drama out there. There are few i recommand i watched alot of them but i can't really remember all the good titles atm. (My head is busy with the webdesign and coding)
Long Vaction (Something you must watch if you want to start collecting japanese dramas)
Shotgun Marriage ( Pretty good. I seeded it before in the tracker tho i don't have the files anymore. if you post in request section maybe someone else will reseed this good drama series)
Tokyo Love Story (DAMN this one just as good as the long vaction or even better!! i watched watched this series few times same like long vaction. It's 1 of the must watch title as well.)
There are really alot good ones.

I've watched Long Vacation myself. I thought it was pretty good. I personally liked Kimura Takya's performance in Beautiful Life better. Summer Snow was also good.
Hey HongFire, do you know where I can get Tokyo Love story? I watched that thing when I grew up and would like to add it to my collection.

I downloaded my first jdrama by mistake, I though it was anime(to heart and gto) and I liked it. I started to look for jdramas and found Jem torrent site where I downloaded most of my dramas from, including my favorites ones: My Husband and Wedding Planner. Since then I watched also:
Be nice to people
Beutiful Life
Food Fight
Hero
Long Vacation
Love Generation
My Husband
Shota no Sushi
Shotgun Mariage
Star no Koi
Strawberry on the Shortcake
Summer Snow

and many more unfinished :)
I haven`t watched any good jdrama lately, and I started to download korean dramas. They are as good as japanese ones, or even better. I only watched a few series(All In, Attic Cat, Sweeet18, Winter Sonata) but all of them were great.

I occasionally watch some JTV series.
The latest I watched was Pride and it's good too. They used Queen's Born to Love You as OP.
I think the "White Tower" would be good too but I can't find any source yet. The series is very long....

I just joined a vcd club to rent drama series in better quality, but lots of them don't have subtitles :(. I could seed many of the ones I have, Neone hopefully would translate them :).
Dramas helped me way more than anime in improving my japanese than anime. It also teaches a lot about Japan's manners and customs and how they behave as a society.
I'm currently watching "Medaka", a drama about a very young teacher who works at a night school and has to deal with the different problems their (adult) pupils have.
I like it so far.

I'm watching NHK's Shinsengumi as I get episodes from a flaky IRC source (torrents are slow) and Sekai no Chuushin de, Ai wo Sakebu as Aoi-Anime subs it (2 episodes out and no release for at least a month). I'm waiting for more of both... If anybody is interested, I'll post more about either.

I'm not a real drama fan, I love Japanese comedy more, but there was this one drama which I watched, named "Kuni no kita kara" (I'm from the land in the north, meaning Hokkaido). It had been running for 20 years, with all it's cast members still in tact. It's about this happy family that moves from Honshu (Tokyo) to Hokkaido (the large northern island). The family consist out of two very young childeren around age 8 and 9, a boy and a girl, and a father and mother. Then suddenly the mother dies of cancer and the father is left raising his two childeren, trying to manage a job at the same time and adapting to the life in Hokkaido. The series aired each year around summer with two long episodes. You see the childeren, growing to young adults and the father losing his place in reality as he misses his wife more and more.
Now this was a real tearjerker. The acting was great and the story very cold.
If you can find it, buy it and see it!!! It's good.

I love J-Drama =)
One of my favorite shows is one called "Investigator Mariko", which is a few years old and is kind of a cross between "CSI" and "Diagnosis Murder". Its about Mariko and her forensics team that solve murder mysteries with an occassional comical twist. I've only seen the first two seasons of four, though due to not being able to find the rest.
It ain't CSI, but it was pretty fun to watch.
GTO LIVE! - Matsushima Nanako ga dai suki desu yo!!! Ai desu. =) I loved that series. The TV special was cool. The movie was so so. The original TV eps were the best.
I loved Nanako in "The Ring" (original Japanese) as well. She's too cute...
Been a while since I've watched anything though. Maybe I'll go torrent searching for some goodies...

I think Tokyo Love Story is starting a run on d-addicts right now.
Only one ep so far but hopefully, in a few weeks, the whole series will be available.
Other good sources for drama (english-subbed) would be the jem or j-tv sites.

GTO is manga first then maybe drama then anime but i really doubt the anime is base on the drama since the manga was out way before.
as for other j-dramas i like love generation, hero, futari something basically anything with matsu takako being the star. but i need to mention Kisarazu Cat's Eye. i loved this drama cuz its very interesting the way they show the story and the movie was just awsome. i still have so many i havnt watch yet but it sucks they ban the vcd in taiwan for japanese drama.

Watched GTO, Summer Snow and Gokusen so far, I still have a lot of j-dramas over here and I hope I could find time to watch them.
We all know GTO so I'll skip that.
Summer Snow is a very sentimental piece. While not very romantic it narrates the interesting life stories of the characters. It is very touching, I recommend it to anyone who has a heart (oof we all do).
Gokusen is the reverse gender of GTO! Yup that's all I have to say. Anyway the second season is currently airing in Japan, and is getting high ratings, one of the top dramas of the season. Starring none other than Ring 0's SADAKO herself, Yukie Nakama! She is soooo hawt...

hmm the only JDrama I have nowadays are the tapings of Abarenbo Shogun and Kinpachi Sensei (not the new season that just hit Japan but the Ueto Aya's season) when they were on KIKU TV in Hawaii.
but even now, while living in Japan, nobody seems to be watching JDramas anymore, mostly KDramas (just look at the Yon-sama fad, it's obvious why Fuyu no Sonata became so popular)

I really liked Hotman.
It's based on a manga of the same name, starring Sorimachi Takashi (the guy who starred GTO live).
The show Hotman is about a former gangster who became a teacher (no, I did not confuse the plot with GTO...). He has four younger siblings, each with a different father (well there are a pair of twins who have the same father) due to their mother's unsuccessful marriages. He also has a 5-yr daughter with atopy condition. Most of the story revolves around the importance of family. It's a very sweet show.
The official Hotman website had the most number of visits compared to all TBS (producer of the show) productions. A year later a 2-hour Spring Special episode was made, and afterwards a 12-episode sequal "Hotman 2" was also produced.
It's not hard to locate the two TV series, but I haven't had much luck with the Spring Special. The only torrent I found for it hasn't seen a seed for over half a year, and everyone is stuck at 46.2%. Sadness )-:

If u want to japan dorama, watch this! "Love Generation"
Takuya Kimura act with Matsu Takako, & i think they are a best couple in japan dorama.
u can download it for free via torrent in www.indowebster.com and there is 11 episodes.
