After much slumber, Itagaki is back again. It would appear that many key Team Ninja members indeed at left Tecmo during the pay issues last year. Also, other developers from different studios, such as the art director for Virtua Fighter 5 have joined the new team.
New game won't be announced at E3
New game is not a fighter.
Most likely on 360.

Considering Itagaki created Team Ninja to begin with at Tecmo, it doesn't surprise me that many of the team left with him during the fall out. I look forward to hearing about his new game.
I'm also hoping the Team Ninja still at Tecmo can do the Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden series justice should KoeiTecmo decide to work on them.

It'll go on, Just like the DMC franchise and Resident Evil, although the newer games aren't that fantastic. Great, but not fantastic.

Considering that they have something to prove, in a way, i'm extra excited to see what they've come up with. Much thanks for the news Eelcire.

Woo Hoo! This is great news. Since the merger of Koei and Tecmo, I was like "WTF!" Why couldn't Tecmo merge with Square when they offered their money onto the table? Nothing has come out of the new merger and even if it did, the games would probably be crap hole. Dynasty Warrior games are for wussies.

Well, I hope he can do more than just solid games (Ninja Gaiden), and actually make them fun.

No real new information, but it seems as though Tokyo Vikings will stick as the teams new name. Interview includes comments on Bayonetta, Tekken 6, Team Ninja working on Metroid, and more. Also includes a rare picture of Itagaki without shades OMG!
