Who Is The Best Game Woman?

Personally I choose Samus Aran. Because not only does she have all the coolest weapons and items, she has kicked ass across several galaxies, planets, and dimensions, she's has been the savior of a couple of planets, and during doing all this she has kept her quest to hunt down and kill every Space Pirate in existance!
That's why I think that Samus Aran is the best game woman.

The other one would definately have to be Ayane from Tenchu. I mean, female+ninja=hell yeah! Some of her finishers in 'Wrath of Heaven' are so eloquent and beautiful, you can't help but root for this daring kunoichi.

In terms of character design, or character?

In terms of pure character design, MOMO of Xenosaga is among my favourites. Everything about her radiates kawaii, from her funny little haircut to her wand that shoots stars and such in battle ^^; Really, really sweet :)

As for character, I like Celes, of Final Fantasy VI. I loved the fact that a character who is seemingly so cold, haughty and noble could be so fragile and well...girly inside. She's been brought up in a manner that has left her lacking in emotional development, where she is ever acting strong and confident, inside she is but a frightened little girl. It just sort of got to me a little, so much so that the first few scenes of the World of Ruin actually made me cry. I'm sure those who have played the game will know what I mean, so I'll refrain from spoilers, but...yeah... I always felt a sort of kinship with Celes :)

I was thinking the same thing. She has some really good moves and she was actually so good in close combat that i almost never used weapons when i played through the game. My other favourites are Black lotus from CnC generals and Talim from soul calibur 2. Always fun to se Talim beating Astaroth, who's about 1m taller than her.

RPG: Celes (same as everybody above)

Samus Aran.

Less so because of the 'kick-assery', and moreso because of the excellent character she grew out to be over the various installments of the Metroid series.

At an early age watching her homeworld and family devestated by the Space Pirates, instilling her with an endless wrath for that race. Being taken in by the Chozo race, which makes her a social outcast during her further childhood, leading up to her solitary existence as a bounty hunter. Her thirst for vengeance being curbed by the Chozo's morals and love for all things living, which she was taught during her period with them, and curbed by the necessity of money, taking missions as a bounty hunter from the Galactic Federation.

When you stop and take a look at it, it's really quite a complicated person residing under that armored shell, but in contrast to other complicated videogame persona you have to grab together the pieces yourself and it isn't presented in an overly dramatized way. Not overemphasizing it really makes her personality feel alive and real.

There are few video game females that can replicate this feat. Actually, there are few video game characters period, that can replicate this feat.

"Blue" Mary Ryan (FF/KoF) - As hot as Mai (IMO) and a better personality. Also, she knows how to get the man she loves to love her back. Plus, she's got an awesome fighting style.

Samus Aran (Metroid) - My jaw dropped when I first saw Samus without her armor in Super Metroid. I've had a crush ever since.

Rikku (FFX/FFX-2) - Manages to be cute, hot, and sexy all at the same time. Plus she's a thief that can make grenades. :kakashi:

Lilith (Vampire Savior (AKA Darkstalkers 3)) - What's better than a sexy, large-breasted succubus? A cute, loli succubus! Plus I like her moves more than Morrigan's. Nothing's more fun than beating your opponent by making them dance. :grin:

King (AoF/KoF) - A lot more feminine than she lets on. I love her fighting style and that she now has a crush on Ryo. Wonder if the idiot will ever catch on to that. Too bad she managed to find clothes that don't blow apart at the end of a fight.

Sakura Kusagano (SFA) - This girl can kick some serious ass. Not only did she fend off a bunch of Shadowlaw goons, she held her own against Ryu, Ken, and even Bison! Keep in mind she got this powerful with no actual training. I keep hoping to hear she'll be in SF4 as an ultra-powerful character.

Tifa Lockheart (FF7) - She can toss monsters five times her size with one arm and she has a giant rack. What's not to like?

Vice (KoF) - A grappler that fights offensively? Sweet!
