As the title states, what types of H-games do you prefer and why?

I prefer adventure games just because I find that RPGs and SLGs made for console players are much better. But of course, those are not h-games. :D

I don't really have a specific type of h-game, because what the most important in a h-game for me is the quality of its CGs. Even the story comes at second importance : what can you have in h-game, other than dating, romance, rapes, tortures, blackmails ?
If i had to make a choice, it would be between RPG and SLG, because it is more like after a struggle against the comp, you get a h-scene as a reward (that does not make as boring as the AVG)

Tough question. If we are talking about good games then probably RPGs after all. They combine good story and interesting gameplay while adventure games usually have good stories only.

A lot more, actually... there's also mystery (Mystereet series), fiction (Popotan, Deus Ex Machina), mythology and folklore (Kangatari), comedy, and even music/rhythm. There're many well written games out there that deserve playing on the strength of their story alone.
If you judged Tsukihime based on its CG only it'll probably have gotten something worse than an E, I think :D
So, Story and characters over anything else for me - so I guess AVG. I don't really have the time to level up any more, so unless the RPG/SLG is very well designed or enjoyable I usually just cheat my way through anyway.

Anyway, all genres is ok with me as long as the story is interesting. But just a matter of preference, RPG attracts me the most.
Hmm... there aren't any Hentai Fighting games? o.O

sure there is, Variable Geo. Me, I prefer the raising games. Like Custom slave, or Blood Royal, or Maou no Musumetachi, etc.
I wish there were some hard core stuff though.

I like AVG type games simply because they're failry linear and easy to play, even without the knoweldge of the storyline, which in the case of jpn hgame playing, can either make or break how you feel about a game. I would say RPG is my first choice, since japan is like the mecca of the RPG scene, but the fact that I can't follow the story severly effects me wanting to play it. Even more so if its a game I actually want to play :( Oh, and I belive Battle Rapper was a fighting hgame as well. Anywho, those are my 2Cents.
