I played the hell out of the first one when I was a young lad of 8 or 9. :)

I wish there was a way I could obtain those old games, for nostalgia's sake.

Yeah I used to play them.
Thinking about such games really gives nostalgic urges doesn't it.
I remember my friend having it.. but I'm sure she wouldn't lend it to me :(
But I bet if you looked around on the internet, eventualy, you'd find it

I remember playing them when I was quite young....and my english wasn't all that good. Made quite a few problems when playing 1-3, since they where textcommands. Managed to play through them anyway though.
Quite good adventure games, with a special sense of humor.

Think I still have some of them lying around on the cimputer or on some disks somewhere...

yup, Larry Laffer. I played it till larry 4, I even have the remake of larry1.

It was damn funny to try to buy condoms('prohylactics'). or forgetting it and then have sex, with the exploding crotch as a result.

Sure you can find them somewhere, but they're kinda difficult to get to work on XP. Download dos emulator... download program that slows down CPU... download something to get the sounds work... argh! That's why I usually play emulator games nowadays. I never should've given up my 386!

I recommend DOSBox (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/)
I only played LSL6 and thought it was okay. Are the other ones worth playing as well?

The "ORIGINAL" hentai game! LOL! :D Used to play the series on my old PC with 5 1/4" floppies. Ah, those are the good old times.

You should try using Sarien, which is an interpreter for old Sierra games (kinda like Scumm for Lucasarts). It can be found at http://sarien.sourceforge.net/index.html

I also played Leisure Suit Larry and like.. maohayato, send me a copy of LSL4 since you say you played it :P supposebly LSL4 was lost before it's release due to some problem with the floppies, supposebly they got corrupted. You can even find some remarks about it in the newly LSL for xbox/pc that was released lately.. when you start the game and check the computer in your bedroom.. "LSL4, the missing floppies .. my favourite videogame".

KWSW, I dont consider the new 3D LSL as LSL8 ^^U if anyone ended LSL7 knows that in the end they give a sneak preview of LSL8.. which supposebly would be 2D.. guess the development team died meanwhile.. arf

There was never been a Leisure Suit Larry 4. Lowe (the creator) said it himself. He just jumped to part 5 just for the heck of it. "Since when does a sequel needs to be in numerical order?", that's what he said in the manual of the Leisure Suit Larry Compilation set. That's why it's called the missing floppies, cause' he never made a part 4, & he likes to joke around. This is how this rumor survives today, by confusing people.
