I used to be a KOF player until I started playing GG about a year ago... All 2D fighters pale in comparison after you get a taste of GG.

I've been trying out Melty Blood ReAct for about a week, too! Still learning, but I really like it so far. I'd play any 2D fighter, though... as long as it's not Mortal Kombat. On a fair basis, I play the following:

Like:

King of Fighters: Each character have very unique moves unlike street fighter series.
Dead or Alive series: combo combo combo! mind games, mind games, mind games! :D
Capcom vs. SNK 2: Gotta love the grooves and the wide selection of characters.
Naruto Narutimate Hero 2: It looks very shallow but believe it or not, the game's pretty deep. www.shishi-rendan.com for nice vids.

Okay ones:
Street Fighter series: the only thing I hate is the repetitiveness of all the characters. Already you have 3 characters (Ken, Ryu and Akuma) who have exact same moves with a little difference (like Ryu's kick only hit once, Ken's hit many times but no knockdown and Akuma's is chainable into a Dragon Punch). Then you put in Dan and Sakura who have difference variations of the 3 Shotogan's attacks, and then you put in Sagat who is slower, taller, but basically the same moves overall.

Tekkan series: I haven't played it, but I feel that it isn't too impressive or stylish as DOA3, and isn't just as exciting really...nor as fast.

Marvel vs Capcom series: Too fast for my eyes...really, plus it's really somewhat more of a combo game

Hate:
Soul Caliber 2: It just doesn't capture me at all.
