We all like games right?
but how do we like em'?
are you the social gamer, who likes nothing more than to have a bunch of friends over, and play shoot em'/beat em'/dance em' up's, and sports games...
or are you the lone gamer, who hones skills in the online arena, or likes to submerse into a deep RPG, or adventure game, a lone-wolf, but a true gaming king?

I'm a lone-wolf. You can often find me alone in an arena (map) by myself and practicing
shooting and movement. Like shadow boxing, where you picture the enemy in your mind
and move around to fit the image, I shadow fight. This is extremely important in
Unreal Tournament; I like to practice jumps and dodges over and over again. ^_^
As for RPGs, I like being alone. If however someone wants me to join them, I wouldn't
mind. But I'm not the kind of person who would initiate the group (ask others to join me).
I'm usually a reserved person. ^_~
So basically I play multiplayer games, but I'm not playing with friends, but just random people out there.
Btw, this is a great thread! ^____^

i would say i'm a lone-gamer.
my friends mostly dislike gaming, or play solo too.
mostly i like rpg's better than snowboardinng/football/shooting friends anyways.
final fantasy VIII vs. any multiplayer falls flat.

I mostly play single players but I enjoy multiplayer games more, just that I rarely have friends that plays games.
However I'm a lone gamer when it comes to rpgs or pc games, I used to play mmorpg but I prefered soloing

On the odd occasion that I game I'm a lone gamer as well. The last game I played was Windwaker. I'm also a big Final Fantasy fan, but I'm not interested in XI. For computer games I mostly play Quake 3, I pretty much have a team of anime related bots that I play against the computer with, mostly capture the flag.

I guess mostly single player would fit me. I do play online games but don't like the idea of paying like 50 dollars for a game than have to fork over another 10 each month just to continue to play.

I keep meaning to finish HL2, but it's got so boring that its starting to become a chore just to reach the end. Other than that I mainly play Multiplayer games, such as Counter-Strike. Although CS takes up most of my time, I have recently got into RPG's a lot more, stuff like Dungeon Siege and Icewind Dale are cool. :D

i generally only play rpgs by myself
the only games that i would consider playing online is CS:S, unreal, strarcraft, homeworlds 2
starcraft - i accidently deleted -_-
CS:S - weapons physics and basic gameplay like the original are incorrect, i would rather go out and play airsoft
unreal - :D instagib
homeworlds 2 - starcraft supersized

I play Warcaft III mainly multiplayer, but also play singleplayer (GTA, etc.)
Games are always more fun when you're playing with other people, IMO.
And even when you're playing single player games, it's more enjoyable when you have people around you to compliment and make fun of you. :D

Am a loner when it comes to games but have at times played online or one-on-one with a friend of mines directly.
both, I love to deep myself in a game like final fantasy, play some mmorpg, and all that other stuff.
Though it's also fun to play mmorpg's with friends together, or other games like fighting games, or taking turns in platform games.
I guess you could say I'm social, but I also love to play alone
CS : S
HL2 - beaten, but still fun to mess around with the physics ^^
PT - and yeah Ragnarok is better but I just got anxious ><
FF6 - at the moment, I really wanted to finish that game at least once ><
and my own game production ^^

I'm in the same boat as Arc; Guilty Gear player with NO ONE to play against. Probably would be easier for me to find others if I wasn't a girl. No normal girl plays Guilty Gear to my level, but very few guys are willing to actually play against me. >_>"
Guilty Gear X? cause I remember having it laying around here somewhere.
might want to chalange you sometime:p

A little of both. Though it still annoys me that I don't have Internet on any of my machines at home >.<
Still possible to blow the dust of the old hub, and pull in a couple of friends for a lan though.

Hmm gaming, the memories, I actually never had internet while I was still gaming a lot, so I usually played alone or with friends behind my back to make fun of my every move:p. We did sometimes link up pc's and have a tiny lan (mostly 2 or 3 computers).
Most recently played game, doom :D (going back to the classics :p).

Unfortunately no. There are very few games on X-Box that I will actually play, so it's not worth buying it. I play #Reload on my PC, sometimes on PS2. -_-;

99% of the time, I play single-player games, even if it's a fighting game. I have the social skills of a grapefruit and I know better than to unload my "personality" onto other gamers. The 1% of the time is when I find a free MMORPG and play it for three days. I'm constantly reminded why I quit playing FFXI (other people, of course).
Odd, because I played RO on free servers for like seven months last year. But you can solo in that game, and I played with a bunch of people I knew from other places (and thus had no shortage of levelling partners). I was also pretty bored. I didn't have as many games as I do now, so it's not like I have an excuse to play an inspidly boring plotless online RPG nowadays. Maybe when I've cleared out my console backlog I'll get back into the online ballpeen-hammer-in-the-groin, but not before.

I used to play online alot but all those hackers, noobs and all around idiots started getting on my nerves, and I prefer co-op over VS. so I mostly only play single player with some co-op games like System Shock 2.

I'm not a fan of online gaming since there's alot of smacktards out there. Although I do play CS regularly. I usually just play single player games with a good storyline (Usually Ps2 rpgs).
But if I'm in the mood for social gaming, I usually go to the Arcades.

I usually play fighters either by myself in training mode or with friends. I tend to play alot more FPS online then in the past. Though, somedays i play single player games, mostly RPGs and action/adventure games.
Oh, and I almost forgot. PSO was my drug back in the day. It was probably my most played online game ever.

I play multiplayer games when the opportunity lends itself to me but I'm mostly a lone gamer because of my large collection of RPGs and such.

Due to my lack of skills in the making-friends department, I hardly ever have people over. And when I do, I hate being beat or having to teach people how to play. Plus I just like to wash away all my life's problems with a game, and that's hard to do when there's another person sitting beside you reminding you that you're still in your own body.
