Ys: The Oath in Felghana!

Japanese PC publisher Nihon Falcom has announced a new entry in the Ys series of action RPGs. Serving as the seventh entry in a series that was originally halted back in the 16-bit days at five is Ys: The Oath in Felghana. The game has only been announced for Japan, and is currently without a release date or price.

The curious name brings about memories of the sixth entry in the series, Ys: The Ark of Napishtim. That game is just about to see release for the PS2 (see our review) with a PSP version to follow. Konami has the rights to the console entries in the Ys series, meaning The Oath in Felghana could get a stateside release, if only on consoles.

Those hoping to get a first look at The Oath in Felghana will want to pick up the music CD The Songs of Zemeth. Set for Japanese release on 3/17, this soundtrack features music from The Ark of Napishtim and, for those who pre-order, also includes a bonus clip of Felghana.Thanks for the news, IGN.com (http://pc.ign.com/articles/589/589657p1.html)

Falcom, thank you for making my dreams come true, time and time again. And please, Konami...pick this one up for the US! (And why not grab the 1-5 remakes while your at it? Or maybe that's a job for Working Designs. ;)) Anyway, great, great news. :D

oh yes!!!! i cant wait to play this also falcom is the best i heard somthing about it comeing out on march 17 in japan.

yes i do hope Konami picks this up and the Ys 1-5 remake Ys3 was very fun Same with 1 & 2

Working Designs is a great company they bring alot of stuff out with the games they release, but i just cant wait for the games to be released.

Holy freaking crap. I can't believe someone is seeding this already. I love this series and have beaten every game in it (except Ys I & II Perfect (I've beaten the originals), The Ys Typing game, and now Ys VII) and loved every one (with the exception of III... Which I hope they made into a decent game this time...). You people are awesome - just, can we get someone to seed it for a little while? I'm not seeing any seeds as of right now.
