Anyone Else Feel Like Doing Chinese to English Subs?

Because there are so many Chinese peeps here, I got to thinking... Since Japanese translators are so hard to find, anyone feel like working together to translate the Chinese fansubs into English? :D From the looks of it, most Chinese fansub groups are pretty accurate in terms of their translation from Japanese to Chinese, so loss of accuracy due to going from Chinese to English should be minimal.

So, any takers? :) I know Chinese, so I can help, too. :) But I don't know any decent places to get Chinese fansubs... :p

If you knew a good place for Chn fansubs, would you actually fansub yourself, or just grab 'em all in Chinese and just enjoy them yourself? ;)

Big question is would the groups that made the Chn subs be cool with you using their translation?

Ehh. My OSes are all English, so I tend to prefer English subs, since it's harder for me to actually display the Chinese subs while watching the fansub. Translated Body Transfer for the people here a little while ago and thought it was fun, actually. :) Got to learn more Japanese because of it.

Dunno. Never hurts to ask, though, right? :) I just don't know how to find/contact them. (Was hoping some of them might be lurking... :) ) Besides, the English subs can be placed below the Chinese ones, like those Hong Kong movies... :D That way, their credits, etc. are still retained.

i can help if anyone really want to. I understand both japanese and chinese. my english is kinda crapy. lol
if u guys need to contact the group just go find their forum then post it there, they will probably c it. once, i helped making one which was one-piece. cuz my friend's friend was doing the fansub. so yeah if need help just pm me. also i am kinda busy sometime cuz i am going to unversity in a year and most my course are advance placement.

As a native HKer, I'm good at Chinese(I can handle Traditional or Simplified) and English(Sore wa atari mae da.[That is granted.]) and some knowledge of Japanese. I'd like to give u a hand on this.

I am a chinese who live in England for almost 10 years now, and i am good at both traditional and simplify Chinese, so if anyone need help please say so! To me, English and Chinese is not a different

I can only translate about 40-50% of chinese subs, im not that good at reading chinese :S

Best place to get chinese fansubs? well i used to go to greedland's site, but havent been there for a while.

translating chinese -> english is a good idea, but it may not work as you might get it wrong.

because, the meaning was altered to fit the chinese language, then remodified back to english.

this will cause the meaning to divert. hence, it is better off to translate japanese -> english, problems solved

I'm running a hentai fansub group, and we could use chinese translators. Please message me if interested. (Chinese usually only captures 80-90% of the japanese anyway, so good reading & english skills are essential!).

I think the Chinese subs are more of a guide for us who know only a smattering of Japanese. Somewhat like enough to know just approximately what's going on, but not enough to fully understand what's happening if we were to watch it raw. Something like the kick in the right direction. There would still be problems with the cultural references, but its usually a hurdle that a lot of groups must get past to make a good translation.

The other problem is, what's fansubbed in Chinese but not in English? Only thing I can think of is the second half of Galaxy Angel S4.

I get my Chinese fansubs from http://bt.dmhy.net/ although I think its probably quite easy to find them on edonkey.

I don't mind helping, as long as its not hentai.

I was thinking about doing something like this. But I'm afraid the some of the sentences/phrases would lose it's original meaning when translated twice.
