Ah, let me tell my story first.

I came today at school and the teacher gave some kind of letter to me.
So i started to read the letter and it said that i had done my exam very well.
It also said that because of that i won something.
let me quote now what it said (yeah i translated from Dutch)

You won an flight in the most modern flight-simulator of Europe.
This simulator is full-motion, so you feel everything you do.
This simulator cost 15.000.000 Euro, so it is no toy

After i readed this i was of course very happy

So now my question to you: Did you ever win something?

PS, i go to fly with it on the 9th of may

I've got three silver and one gold medal from swim competitions back in school time, I've also recievied about 500 dollars in cash for taking the 7th place with my band in one "un-professional rock chalange" with the other bands in my city (in my opinion mine is still the best, but we don't take that too serius, we play for fun only ;) ...) and I've won two Tenis tournaments, I was the number 27 in Brasilian Junior Tenis League, I made some money with it too, but I let it go for two years to dedicate myself to studies (and unffortunatly, to parties too... :p), I never came back professionally... I guess that's all... I don't really participate of those raffles... my mother does, I guess she once gainned 30 bucks... :p

The only thing I've ever won that's worth mentioning was a movie basket in a raffle at my sister's school. I got a bunch of snacks and soda out of it, as well as a few really good movies :p

Yep...the least impressive prize ever.....:D

I entered a magazine competition to win a new computer...but got second prize instead...

This was in the days before PC dominance (around Amiga / ST times...I had ST) and before computers had system clocks internally....

My mighty prize....a peripheral to plug into the back of my ST which was battery operated and kept track of the time and day whilst my computer was off... :( :(

It's still the only thing I've ever won....:(

If you count stipends as winning two, that would make two stipends in math for the second and third school year. It was money.

Once the football team I played in won silver, but I was not there in the last game so I did not get a medaille...but I would have got one if I would have been in the last game....

And then there would be dozens of won bets and other small things like that. Never lost a bet so far...

Back in 1994 I won a copy of sonic 3 from the blockbuster "world" video game championship for getting first place.

Last summer, I won a Gamecube, Mario kart double dash and a memory card 251 after winning a mario kart double dash tourney in front of an entire stadium.
I'd kill to have won that jumbotron we were playing on though.
What a experience that was. I've never been that nervous in my life!

I really don't win too much. When I was very little I won a stuffed raccoon (I still have it...his name is Ricky) and once I won $50 from the library. As far as school-ish/accomplishment things go, I won a medal for a Math competition, honor roll awards and I got an award for being good in Band (the clarinet rocks!). :D Um...then just the normal bets and games! ^.^

I won a teddy bear during highschool before. It was a 2nd place prize.
It was a time where donations are held, and if you donate, you might win prizes. So I donated a few dollars, and surprisingly, I won a teddy bear. ^^; :P

And I won many many free 2L Coca Colas. :D

One time when i was in middle school, the teachers decided to make a lotto sort of thing, where you pick a number and if that number comes out you will the prize. back then i used to play soccer and i always liked soccer. The thing a cousin bought the ticket for me. Well it results that i get the winning number, and since my causin was in the same school he claimed the prize as his.

I've won the third prize of some competition in my highschool.
It's hard not to be third when there's only 3 person taking part and u decide to humilate one of the judges on stage in front of the whole school.
During the competition they asked everyone who took part a question.
Mine was wat was the most absurb thing i ever did in my life.
Instead of actually saying wat mine was, Mr smart alec here decided to
make his own. The teacher who asked me that question happens to be one
of the cuter teachers in sch (well they had to find a cute teacher to be the host
or else or the guys will not bother watching). Instead of answer the question i started
dancing around her. Her cheeks flush so red she ran down from the stage. Needless to say i became the most popular guy for that day and of course third out of 3 contestants.

I've won a few things, but none of them were major. There was a radio contest, name the founding members of the EU. Ended up getting a hat and t-shirt with the Radio Netherlands logo (I think it was the benelux countries plus france and west germany, something like that). Won a video tape of friday the 13th and a chocolate easter bunny for guessing that a billabong was australian for beer. The clue was "It's essential to life", what am I supposed to say? :) Also an autographed Eagle Eye Cherry cd for some essay about whether it's the future or not. That got stolen during a break and enter though, dang... Think I won like a silver dollar in an art contest when I was a little kid. Maybe one or two other things as well but can't think of them at the moment.
