Can you guys suggest good Japanese book/online novel that is available online for free? I want to start learning Japanese properly since I can read Japanese manga, but I seem to have problem reading properly formed Japanese sentences... :p

I wouldn't know anything online for free, but hopefully you live close to a fairly decent library? I've heard there are a few anime out there that are based on novels rather than manga, so that might be a place to start. Legends of the Galactic Heroes? Also, when I was in high school I read a collection of translated japanese science fiction (pretty weird, some story about a floating mouth...) and at the end they listed other translated japanese novels. Amongst them was Dirty Pair, which I had no idea was based on a novel but guess I was wrong. The collection was from way before it came out in the west (ah, I feel old). The only other japanese stuff I know is, umm... Mishima? I think he won like a nobel prize for literature and then tried to take over the country before disemboweling himself.

Sorry Pikanyaa, forgot to thank you for the suggestion. (Nya!) I've checked the books there, nice selection of books/texts there. But just a few of them are the new ones. To read the old texts is quite hard since sometimes the kanji used is no more used nowadays. :) If possible any other suggestion of new books online? I've heard that there are some japanese online novels that later compiled into books. How can I find them? Suggestions of good japanese books which are not available online, preferably those based on anime/manga are also welcomed.
