With Karin in this game, I already own all.

Anyone else looking forward to this game?

Not really. The style set is going to be very weird. I don't know if they are going to the the balancing right. Like Marvel Vs Capcom 2 the balance was off A LOT. I don't know it just seems that the darkstaker characters are going to overpower most of the chracters. What I'm waiting for it Neo Geo battle collusium. Ahhh Geese...

Well, I'm looking forward to it as well, since it has been too long since Capcom released any games in the arcade sector.... They were in the blink of forfeiting from that business, and it's cool to see a new fighting game once again in the arcade. And Guy is back! Damn, love his moves..... But I have to agree with the porpotion of the game, I mean we have a Dinosaur which takes up almost the enitre screen, how the hell are you suppose to fight that!? But nontheless, the so-called groove system is there, so that sort of compensates that part.... Neo Geo battle collusium is also another game I'm looking forward to, Rock and Terry is there! Not to mention Geese too!

This game looks odd, but I'm sure I'll pick it up just like every other fighter made by Capcom. I don't know if it can live up to the greatness of CvS2 style crossover, but it may have it's moments. The whole dinosaur characters + Street Fighter & Dark Stalkers seems a bit... meh.

I just played the game today in the arcade, and I must say it looks ok. The only thing that makes it suck today is that the guys didn't set it's speed faster and they didn't fix the setting well so the characters couldn't dash..... Visually, the games graphics is awesome.... But it's gonna take u sometime to get use to it, especially when your fighting against 'weird' characters...... I still think that the choices for characters aren't sufficient, but then it's Capcom we might get some secret characters.....

I used Guy and Ryu today, and nope it doesn't seem like we get to choose the so-called grooves.... ^^;

Well, no.... much much better =) First of all, it's based on 2 on 2 battle. 2nd, the graphics is way better..... not to mention audio too. When I mentioned about the game not having the so-called groove system, it seems like each characters from different series get's their own respective system. Like Ryu from the SF II series, he simply get's most of his attributes from the SF II system, except he get's one more extra super: Shin-Shoryu ken. As for the super bar goes, well it sticks closely to the Super SF II series, where you have to build it up and you could release it all at once. As for Guy, he follows the SF Zero (Alpha in the US) series. Only this time it's in percentage, and you have to build it up. I'm not sure if it has the zero system, but the zero counter is in it for Zero characters. So far the game looks cool, just have to play it more to come up with a conclusion.... keep getting beatin' my Ingrid.. she seems to be the one who suddenly challenges you outta no where....

Hah! Let's see about that.... I mean if you do play Capcom vs Snk 2, you'll be able to show your stuff and I'l be able to whoop your ass! LOL~ Right now, my team for Cap fighting JAM is Ryu and Guy. Love the game, but loads of stuff still need to understand...

Btw MinortyBreeder-san, I wanna ask you something. When a fighting game has an online capability, how does it exactly work? How do you search for other challengers? I have never tried it before, since I have a PS2 and there aren't many games which support that feature.... apart from CvS 2. Not to mention the HDD and ehternet bundle is expensive, so haven't got a chance to fool around it yet. But I do wana try it.... Care to gimmie some input here? Coz there are gonna be loads of other fighting games on the PS2 with that feature in the future, and I wanna fight with ppl around the world =)

Only problem with online fighting games is that there is still lag. It might not mean a whole lot to people who casually play, but you don't see any serious tournaments being held online because of this fact. The slightest glitch in the fight could easily determine the winner. However, the fact that several people are available to play is nice tho.

I think it would be harder to count frames and stuff due to lag. Cuz those inviciblity frames are my bread and butter when it comes to countering.

Well, I finished the game today... and I'm not gonna spoil you guys with who the last boss is.... But I have to say, the game is good... but technically the game does lack some points.... After all, Capcom VS games are mainly about technical, but that doesn't seem to be the case for this one.... And it's somewhat easy, especially after you get your hands on it. Oh well... but I do like the ED. Depending on which 2 character you choose, they both get their respective ED's. Ryu's one show's pics of him coming across a highland or valley sort of at night when we see Werewolf (from Dalkstalkers) jumping off a cliff and they're both ready to duke it out.. Pretty cool artwork. Overall the game is ok, but not what I expected to be. I still think the best mixed fighting game out there is still Capcom vs Snk 2... Too bad we won't be getting a third one. Now, I'll have to wait and see how Neo Geo Battle Coliseum turns out.

Jedan is over-powered in this series. He's like top tier...

I'm considering getting this game. I'm not all that good at fighting games, but I do enjoy them quite a bit. Remind me not to play against any of you though. I'll likely be destroyed.

Seriously though ... how do people get so good at these games? I've never understood what it takes to master fighting games. I'm a long time Sagat player in the SF series (am currently trying to master Hugo in SF3) ... but just can't seem to get anywhere. All my friends play hyper aggressive shotos, and I practically never win.

Is it because I try to play conservative? Or am I not playing the right kind of conservative?

ah... this is just a little better than SNK vs. Capcom Chaos, i played SVC once and didn't want to play it anymore.

Actually, he isn't big stuff anymore. People are finding ways around his rush downs. Heck, if you Karin and have 100% in your CC bar, you can practically get 80%+ damage on him if you do the whole HK reset followed by one of her super arts.

Or you know, use an SFII character and just pwn him completely.
