Not only nose bleeds but some people drool. I got some friends who actually nosebleeds. He told me he feels faint. Drooling is another thing too. Don't know why.
This one time a couple of friends and I went ot a stripclub and when one of the strippers came up to my friend, he just closed his eyes and it leaked out. Was funny stuff.

I've heard (correct me if I'm wrong) that in Japan they say that if you masturbate and/or look at porn (i think) your nose bleeds.

No wonder that most anime characters look anemic. And the commonest cause of going to school clinic is anemia/fainting. :)

It's obviously a made up myth, it doesn't usually happen in real life. I believe the nose bleed theory is based on your body temperature going high while looking at "hot stuff", and when the body temperature gets exceedingly high, it causes internal nose bleed. Something I picked up from my anime loving teacher when I was 10 ^_^ Not sure if he was being theoretical or just a crazy fantasy loving maniac, but it made sense to me >_>

I think it has to do with the fact that blood goes to a certain place of the body and since they can't show it (and I really don't have any interest in seeing it) they show a man having a nosebleeding. :P

it's probably due to overexcitement, resulting in a faster pulse, thus, due to the increase of blood flow around the body, the blood flows out...i've seen a guy's zits bleed after he ran 1.5 miles...he said it was coz the blood flow was too fast. so it should be around the same theory, or so i've always thought...
