Who else has had to recently put a pet to sleep?

Im asking since I have to put down the dog I have had for 15 years and it is always nice to not feel alone when under emotional stress.

So sorry to hear that, Snuts, I've never had a pet put to sleep, but I'm sure it must be hard, since I also love dogs and in fact all animals. But your dog is no longer suffering from the reason for putting it to sleep, so lets be happy about that, the suffering is now long gone.

I haven't had to put any pets to sleep but 2 of my 4 hamsters just died in the last few weeks. T.T

I'm sorry about your dog. I'm sure it was a difficult decision to make.

About a year ago I had to put my dog asleep that I had for about 10 years. It was such a hard thing to do. It is one of the only times I actually cried...the little guy was looking up at me with such pain-filled eyes...what happened is he became paralyzed and needed a 10,000 operation that might work. I didn't have the money and I didn't want to put him through such an ordeal.

I just had to keep telling myself that it was the best thing to do. Even though I wanted my dog to be around, I knew it was for the best. It still hurt though. So you aren't alone.

I'm sad to know that u had to make such a hard decision...
i'm a dog lover myself and i know the feeling of losing
a dog... the feeling's even worse when u know that u're
the one that made the decision to end it's life...
But at least if u put it to sleep, it will no longer
have to suffer from the pain....
In a way it's a release from suffering...

I had a coker spaniel dog for about 15 years until he died, that dog practically grow with me, was too sad when he passes out. anyway cheer up!! dont be sad all the time, do the things that you like
