At the Xbox Summit 2005, Konami announced that it is developing three games for the Xbox 360: a new installment of its popular Winning Eleven series, Rumble Roses XX, and Pro Yakyuu Spirits. The names of the games are tentative and are subject to change.

Games from the Winning Eleven series, a popular soccer simulation franchise, were released on the Xbox in America and Europe, but this will be the first time that the game is coming out for a Microsoft console in Japan. It is currently unclear if any of the three games will be released in the US.

Winning Eleven series executive producer Shinji Enomoto appeared onstage and commented that his project for the Xbox 360 is still in a very preliminary stage, but he said the game should be coming out sometime next year. "We've just begun development, and unfortunately, we don't have a trailer to show yet. But although we've only begun the project, it's already going smoothly," said Enomoto. "It should take about one year to finish the game. We hope to release it in Japan between fall and winter of 2006."

Not many details were disclosed on the female wrestling game Rumble Roses XX and the baseball game Pro Yaykuu Spirits, but Konami showed trailers of the two at the event.

"We presented a lineup of three sports titles today, but we hope to announce more [games] at another occasion," commented Konami game software company president Michihiro Ishizuka.

Resident evil in xbox 360!!? still the game list dosen't look interesting i just see remakes of ps2 and xbox games(dynasty warriors 5), but there r some good games DOA 4 can't wait :)

This reminds me of the dreamcast presentation way back. the games looked great but whe where waiting for something better. BAck then it was the ps2, now it is the ps3. what they are forgetting this time is that the consumer is now more important than ever. and to please them you can't just come with movies and screenshots. you have to have demopods or trydays or something. I will give an example: I never understood what was so great about tekken but just a few days ago a friend and i where playing it in the gameshop. I tried the controls and i liked it. so we bought it 50/50. I had seen the game on the internet and seen trailer for it. But if i hadden't played it i wouldn't of bought it. If you want to attract more people then you must not only show them why it is "great" but you must let them experience why it is great. That is someting a trailer can't do (only if you are a fan it will work).

- Famitsu Xbox reported that 42.3% readers are more interested to the Xbox Japan Summit 2005, then the 31.5% to Sony's PlayStation Meeting 2005; while 26.2% of the readers were indifferent between the two.

HD-DVD no longer an issue?

It would appear a nifty little company has managed to increase a standard DVD's capacity to over 100GB! Making HD-DVD almost obsolete! The new disk uses the same manufacturing process and most importantly - the same drive as normal DVD.

"Mahesh Jayanarayan, a consultant to the company, is keen to emphasise that VMD is not a competing new standard, but an enhancement of the standard DVD format. Indeed, VMD uses the existing red laser technology, the same pick-up lenses and the manufacturing process utilises only existing DVD manufacturing technologies and equipment."
