Oh yes, you don't need to patch it...The newest patches won't really be needed as long as you can play it fine already.

Yup! :D I downloaded it awhile ago. Good that we have 2 seeders..my upload speed stinks though...

I think the sequel will probably be released maybe near July next year (assuming that Falcom doesn't push the release date back like they did with ED6). That was approximately when they released ED6 the first chapter.

Yep, I guess I can still be considered a "newcomer" to ED6, since the last time I beat it was roughly around 4-6 months ago...but I think, still, ED6 was one of the best RPG games ever created (in my opinion).

I'll seed for about 12-14 more hours at probably around 40-60KB/s since my other download seems to be done and my browsing speed isn't affected with that upload speed. After that, I'll seed for a few more hours tomorrow (maybe 5-8 hours more). On Monday to Wednesday, I'll be away so I hope by then there will be a few more seeders.

I agree too. That was one big twist towards the end of the story IMO. Coupled with Falcom's great music and artwork it's simply one of the best RPGs out there. Too bad there's no official English versions yet.

It's waaaay too long for that. Even though novel games like Tsukihime and Fate/Stay Night take arguably longer time to do than ED and Ys games. But I believe NightWolve released the English config and that's about it.

There hasn't been much news lately about ED6:SC (the last one wasn't even really related to it). I hope it's going well. =/

ok, well i have the game running and everything, however i am now stuck at the very beginning and cannot continue at all, ive tried doing everything. Currently, im stuck at the part where you first buy your quartz. I followed your guide gillian and bought all the quartz availble and equipped them. Then i talked to Scherazard, however she does not give me any more sepitha and i cannot leave the shop because Schera always stops me, ive tried looking at all the stop options, looked at the book, nothing works. How can i continue?? :confused:

NVM, after wasting 20 minutes of repeatedly rearranging the quarts and talking to the npc's over and over again, i finally got to continue after casting heal on myself.

I have no idea what you people are talking about. I just tried the torrent and I'm leeching at 15kB/s... You guys must have a BT client that doesn't support multi-tracker. Use Azureus or BitComet.

@SilverDragon: I do believe I have everything for ED6. Game, OST and Artbook. OST, I'm not sure if it is full so I haven't uploaded it neither have I checked if someone uploaded yet.
@xcomp: HnA is very nice. I burned part of the OST to CD and I play it at night before I go to sleep sometimes. XP I thought the OST was really good and the game's music to be good overall. Something to make me go to sleep. XD

2. equip Joshua with GRAY sepith, he gets 2 new spells
3. equip Estelle with BLUE sepith, she also gets 2 new spells

The same good blokes who brought us Dawn of Ys in english have a patch for the config utility but that's probably all that we're going to get. Look on the bright side: it's not as nearly painful as trying to play ED3 without knowing Japanese (trust me, it's a must).

Ok just reinstalled it, found out the crashes were due to the game settings being to high. Turned it down to low or whatever and it worked fine again. Now just need to figure out how to come back to life lol.

I'm finally back. Actually, there are cheats if you make them.

5A6FFE - Position 1: Estelle or Joshua.
5A93C6 - Position 2: Usually Joshua.
5AB78E - Position 3.
5ADB56 - Position 4.

Under normal conditions in which you haven't switched the character's positions that is. These are for unlimited CP, I think. I made a trainer a long time ago.

Then again ED6 is way too easy as long as you got unlimited money. :P

I think I'll reseed soon; I keep forgetting. XP

It's so funny how it takes me 1 hour to kill Oori-Oori (is that the name? o_O). I think even if it takes 1 hour it more fun to play than cheating by spamming it with S-Craft's. I think the funnest part of the game would be occurring in Ruan and a bit of Grancell. :)

(Now take the north exit. Find your way to Ravennue Mine entrance. Come back to the village and go talk to the mayor (he's in the cemetery). Go back to the mine.)

I found the mine and went back to the village but the Mayor wasn't in the cemetry. And also well I was going to Ravennue I had to defeat a black lizard monster, which wasn't in the guide so im a bit confused.

49 seems to be the highest level. (not sure cause I havent finished the game) Once your XP reaches 25000, the Level requirement doesnt go higher.

Been kind of busy with my personal life but I checked HF once everyday. I promise I'll seed next time. The only game time I've actually had was playing ED4 for PSP. :D

If anyone needs help with the game I'll be happy to. Whatever you do, don't cheat because I found out ED6 was really boring after I had the strongest orbments and weapons so fast. Just level slowly and follow the storyline (most important). It comes out very touching in the ending. :)

If you liked ED6, may I suggest ED4 that just came out in English? Not sure if you can get it in Germany, but ED4 is very good. Finished it a few days ago. I think it took me longer to play that than ED6. ;O

I'm refering to the transparent mini map at the top right of that screenshot. Theres nothing but the compass thing with the word "Map" on it in my game =(

You wanted to know how to get the big map on the screen right? Press the v key and that gives you the entire map on screen. b key gives you your Bracer guide book and c key gives you your recipes you've collected

oh...what part of the game are you on? Some parts of the game there's no map to. Like the Mystyvault forest and any of the towers. Did you have the map when you started out?

!! That's it...I looked into the options tab in the menu of the game and there's an option for the map. You probably turned the map off or something. I think it's the 2nd or 3rd option on the options tab. Click on it and see what happens. Hope this helps

How can i get Joshua or Estelle best weapon? The guide says that i need to talk to the owner of the coffee shop in the west side or Grancell, after i get the 11 Carnelia books. I did that and it didnt got it.
Make sure you've got all books the guide mentioned. If you don't want to re-play again in order to get the books, keep playing. In the last stage, there'll be another one for everyone in your party.

I dont get it, its not supposed to be obtained with just the Carnelia books?

You can get it from coffee shop. But if you can't , on the last stage there'll be another best weapons for everyone.

If you want to get it from coffee shop see the pictures.

Abnormal program termination

the patch is only for win95?

i'm using windows XP SP2

I have the same problem, however I'm seeding without a problem, there's no bad data in my file. The same problem while having everything configured in Japanese, D-tools 4 and reinstalling it multiple times. I've tried the "put everything on low" thing too, no change.

Does anyone know a solution or at least a cause? This happens directly after the first cutscene with the boy being in bed.

I tried that as well,

with no-cd crack, without, with 32 patch, with 34 patch, without patch. No difference with all of those, always the same error.

I found the problem, everything just crashed the second I clicked on the Open.avi file. I just turned off the intro in the options menu and I was good to go.

What level was your party? Mine were about 39's after training from them. They weren't that difficult.

...i think mine is around 33.... But the very very last boss, where the big robot combined with the 2 little ones were annoying... he kept summoning those little alphas and betas, and they kept casting shadow spear which koed my units...

Wow, don't even dare taking it on yet. I would suggest getting them around 37's. That was enough for me to beat them. I would also recommend employing the same strategy you used for Laurence in his last fight.

Also, don't attack its minions unless you can fit them into your AoE orbments. Keep attacking the big guy because it will keep summoning more minions when you destroy them.

@SniperTak: I lost to him twice and then won every match after that. Never lost to any other fight so badly as that one. Laurence isn't that hard; remember you've got 3 units and he's got one with incredible agility. You have to BEAT that agility.

Try a software called"AppLocale",It is a Microsoft free software I,I usually use this one to start a game in unicode.Don't know if it is allowed to post the download link here, just try to google it, it will be on the Microsoft offical site,by the way I don't think the intro can be turned off.

use earthguard and earthwall？(JAP :アースガード earthx2,アースウォール　earthx4).They block any attack one time (earthwall have area affect)

I have all 4 members at level 38.

It may work. The bad point is that both arts take a long time to activate and i may just get killed before getting the chance of casting them.

@mazeova: I can swear one of the patches caused an abnormal program crash. I might've mixed it up with something else though.

@dark998: Firstly, who is in your team? Secondly, what are their levels? Thirdly, I used Estelle, Joshua, Klose and Agate. All being level 37 and Agate being 38. I use Estelle and Agate as tanks and Klose and Joshua as sweepers or attackers. Agate dies the most and I usually use Estelle to ressurect him. No problem. Been beating this boss pretty easily.

I've got a question myself now, lol. Alright, well...my friend let me borrow his Windows XP cd to install it on my computer and last time I tried to download Applocale to get another Japanese game to work, it told me I would need my Windows XP cd for a certain file, before it could go forward, so..my question is..is there any way I'm going to be able to play this game without having my Windows XP cd? Or..in other words, is there any way for me to get Japanese language on my computer and run this game without needing my XP cd? Thanks for the help, in advance!

Okay,go for the cheap strategy then.Buy a lot of items that revive and completely restore HP.When the boss land that move on your char,revive him with item(don't bother with art).Exept that move ,i don't think the boss can pose any threat(actually,he has another move that can nuke all the battle field but it's slow and his DEF will be decreased for a while if he use that.I don't know how much damage he can inflict with this one because i haven't got hit.Any one know?).If you have recipes and enough ingredient to make some foods that can restore CP,this fight will be a lot easier(Joshua's 2nd S-Crafts is great to kill small robots).You may also don't want to kill the boss's 1st form too quick to gain some CP.Don't know it's a good strategy or not but i always let my team gather round one place and cast earthwall constanly.(i don't go melee with the boss ,use art instead).
Edit:Btw,if i remember correctly,his right arm will break when his HP lower than 13k.

I used Estelle, Joshua, Klose and Agate
you team is similar to mine,but i use Tita instead of Agate.

My team is Estelle, Joshua, Zin and Olivier. But yeah, i think i will return to that old man that sell items and restock on the ones that revive a character with full HP. I only had 5 the first time and wasted them pretty quickly.

If I recall the DVD is made into parts. If you look at the folder structure it has folders called DISC1, DISC2, or something similar. How to make it into 3 discs is a matter of making some ISO files with each of the directories. Alcohol won't edit the ISO so you'll need to use a different program.

Finally finished the game. Took me more than 50 hours doing most of the sidequests, but it was worth it. Cant wait for the SC to come out. Those Falcom guys are experts in making cool trailers, the SC one is excellent, even better than the Oath in Felghana one.

EDIT: While browsing the offcial page, i found that i will be possible to use saved data form FC to change certain things in SC.

I pity the poor Gillian that will have to answer to the expectation of so many players. I would really suggest learning a bit of Japanese to enjoy the game, you still have a whole month for that.

Btw guys... the "big monster between Velt and Bose"... is referring to that monster 2 maps east of bose right? The one that looks like a trying island w/ castle on top??... cause by memory it is... but i've killed it like 10 times already quest still isnt cleared! it doesn't even have important battle song when enter battle... whats wrong? X_X or did i get the wrong monster? Thats the only big thing I've seen...

Those monsters you have to fight for the guild will always gives you the choice to fight it or leave it alone before the fight, and at the end, you'll get a mission clear thing.

Another hint is that they don't move, and they're "out of place". They're monsters you find in later areas.

Exactly when you are supposed to input the name the characters? I dont remember doing that when i started playing.

And about your problem, what other stuff did you try to do to fix it? Update with the latest patch, no update and use the No CD patch, etc.

The opening part when the main character was brought home and this gal kept jumping on him on the bed and finally we need to input his name. THEN the error appeared...i tried the no-cd thingie and it's still the same... :<

you don't need to input his name. Have you tried to disable the movies? I think at that point, you see the intro movie, could be what causes the crash. You can watch the videos later, they're simple mpeg files.

But it doesn't affect me that much... doesn't happen all the time, just once in a while... you might have the same thing as me. Save often while ya can if it is the case.

gamecopyworld has a nocd for the version 1.0.3.4 (the latest). Look for eiyuu densetsu 6.

Oh, my. You can use iso at least. And, yes I burned it, but not with nero, just with Alcohol 120%. I'm burning all games 1X1. If it's DVD iso then I'm burning DVD and so on...

umm... i got a question about the walktrough, all the japanese text in it apears like this

but the thing is i have all the languages installed, all the Japanese, Chinese, Taiwanese and europeat languages are there i can see the japanese thext normaly everywhere except the walktrough and i have the " Extended Support of advanced text services to all programs" box checked, the japanese text should show up in the text files @_@

What browser are you using? Open the walkthrough URL with internet explorer if you are using another browser. Firefox doesn't read the stuff properly sometimes.

ISO? I don't see any ISO files around...when i install the game i did it straightout of the RAR(fsetup2.exe) after i unpacked it. I don't even need Alcohol120% at that point of time...Am i missing something or did i accidentally deleted something?

Actually the "RAR" as you sad, naturally it's ISO. ISO files are like RAR's, you can unrar them. I think you didn't saw ISO icon because you don't have Alcohol.

I think its because .ISO is a extension that WinRAR recognises and will automatically put all .ISO to be opened with WinRAR when double clicked IF you didn't uncheck the box for .ISO when you installed WinRAR. So yeah... uhh... if anyone understood it, then great I didn't waste my time for nothing! =D If not... I should waste more time learning to structure my sentences better =_=. When you open a game downloaded off BT or wtv, if it is opened by WinRAR when you double click it, check the file name on top of the winrar window. If it shows NAME.ISO then just close it and mount it with a alcohol or daemon or wtv.

@MRcool2035: Um... did you try setting non-unicode to Japanese, opening the walkthrough link (http://gillianseed.free.fr/ed6faq.txt) with Internet Explorer, and if it still shows gibberish at some parts, right click anywhere on the IE windows and select Encoding>Japanese? Hope you didn't try that yet cause that would solve your problem! =p but if you did try I'm almost out of ideas X_X

The problem if we answer is that you will expect something (and spam like hell if it's longer). Take it when it's coming, and don't complain

btw, anyone know of an english fansite? or something that has info on all the games in the series and screens, wallpapers, guiedes, etc... dedicated to this series?

Yes... I realize that there is a guide. In fact, I downloaded it and read through it. The problem is, heehee, is that I cannot get past the part where you have to buy some stones (you know, at the very beginning of the game!). The guide just said to purchase all stones and equip one for each of the two protagonists. I did this and nothing happened. I'm just standing in the store. I talked to everyone, and they responded; nothing happens after that. When I tried to leave the store, the gypsy looking lady stops me and says something! Aaaaaiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeee! What to do?

yeah happened to me to, basicly just try to buy a new slot couple times and talk to her a couple times, eventually she'll give you enough money to buy one new slot ^_^

Buy one of each orbment, equip water, heal. Talk to Scherazard. Buy a new slot and continue on. Probably one of the hardest part of the game, in my opinion. :P

There used to be a time when people complained about lack of seeders, and the leechers were patiently waiting, everyone at say 99%. Now, they complain because there are not enough seeders, isn't that sad?

For your information, 1 seeder is enough to complete the file. If it's slow, people in your swarm are capping their upload too much (you included? who knows).

If you have a save game after the last boss, you'll get some bonus. I don't know if you'll keep your level. But from the website, some dialogues will change, and you'll get some bonus items, depending on the missions you've done.

According to some info from a magazine, without a save from FC, you start at level 35. I don't know if the save will change that though.
Well, only a week left until the game is released though :)

hi, i just installed the game recently. But I can't seem to save, like I click on a slot, the game looks like its saving, i hear a confirmation sound, but no save was created. Anyone else had this problem before??? Thanks in advance
