Hello all!

Someone I know would like to find a translation of the writings on a medal.

He thinks it's Japanese... but hasn't found anything on the web.

Thanks for the help.

Exactly what I thought but since I only went to a couple of lessons at Uni, I couldn't say for sure.

this is old chinese characters combined with japanese```
can't identify at all except for a few words that make no sense, though a chinese i am```
we use these old characters sometimes, but there're so many different types of old kanji that i always fail to recognize them
