Story:

I liked looking up at the sky. I liked the feeling of being sucked in by the blue sky. I liked imagining something out of the shapes of the clouds. Even on rainy days. Rain equaled rainbow. I liked rainbow. I thought of something everytime I looked it up--How can I reach that rainbow? I've never reached it. Rainbow was just sitting in the sky, shining graciously.

"I'm finally here..." Near the noon of a day in Spring, where scent and flowers of cherry trees flew around. One young girl stood in front of the train station. "It's been really long" Putting aside a big trunk near her feet, the young girl takes a look around nostalgically. Scent of sea is mixed in. Faintly sound of waves is heard. "Just as I thought...It's still there" She carries her eyes to the rainbow. Her expression gets cloudy. The sky is sunny.

Under the atmosphere lacking even humidity, seven colored lines are flowing. "Geez, so slow~" The quietness of when she looked at the rainbow was already gone. The young girl expresses her uncertainty in a way that is easy to understand, caused by lateness of the person she is waiting for. She looks at the otherside of the road. She knew where that person was coming from. "Ah, he's here!" A small shadow. The young girl broadly waves her hand. "Onii-chaaan!!"

"Narazakimachi" is located near the sea shore. In Narazakimachi, there are mysterious phenomenons. Two of them. One is the rainbow in the sky that never disappears. It's there everytime the sky is looked at. The other one is "Gift". A mysterious magic. It is a present which someone can give only once to someone else. One transfer student comes to "Shimano Highschool", where Amami Haruhiko, a young man living in Narazakimachi goes to. That transfer student is Haruhiko's little sister who was seperated from him.

A re-united little sister. A childhood friend who is always by his side. A cool Junior. An overly cheerful princess. A mysterious maid. Re-union and first meetings. Their story starts to move. During the life in highschool, where something new starts to unveil in Spring. In a town where a magical rainbow and magic-like gift exist. Amami Haruhiko searches for one partner and one "Gift".

i am d/ling it now but i too am impressed by what all you have put up about the game. i am kinda new to this as it is hard to even find these kind of games in the usa. one thing i need to do is learn japaness :rolleyes:

I second the request for a re-seed. There are a dozen or more people now at 91.2%, and the one person who's at 99.3% doesn't seem to have an upload limit >0. (I've received not a single packet from them during the entire time I've been connected to this torrent ~37 hrs)

Nice game. Was forced to take the com offline for a couple of days (the ext HDD and its adapter were in danger of melting down). Will start seeding again tomorrow if all goes well. Share ratio is about 1.3 now.

Edit: Yay, I'm back online. I bought a new small air circulator to direct it at the ext HDD and its adapter. Hope this helps prevent meltdowns :P Currenly seeding this great game. Share ratio now at around 1.5. Keep it alive people!

Gift was a pheonomenon created by Haruhiko (the main character)'s mother. Riko wanted to get rid of the rainbow that she sent to him using Gift because it was the only thing that shouldn't have been there in their relationship. When Haruhiko found out he was the very source of Gift, he decided to end the phoenomenon by ending his own life (by sending the Gift "back" to his mother, meaning he's sending his life back). So he let Riko know over the phone the minute before "ending his life". To Riko's surprise, the rainbow did disappear but Haruhiko wasn't dead, and he told her that since his birth was premature (he found out from his dad) sending the Gift back shouldn't be affecting his actual birth.

Then of course, Riko went mad and started hitting him for planning out something too thrilling. ;)

Ah. She's leaving Japan for an exchange program for about a year or more. So yeah, you are right on the promise thing. Since there's a sequel to this game, it obviously means they've stayed together in a long distance relationship. ^^

Yup, there's a sequel to the game and it's called "Gift～にじいろストーリーズ～" (http://www.getchu.com/soft.phtml?id=211041) (Gift ~Niji-iro Stories~). The game contains after stories of the 5 girls, another scenario, plus a collection of short stories (over 50 if I remember correctly). I recommend you to get that game also if you want more Gift stuff... You can find more stories/background to each characters there, heck you might even learn the secret behind "Kirino's hat"... :D
