But there's just this one problem...when I hit set up, like half way there
it gives me this message in like computer jiberish (or it just isn't japanese...
let's put it that way). Could you tell me what it it?

Change your system locale to Japanese (http://home.comcast.net/~kagamix2/xp-compatible/japanese_setting.html) if you can't install a Japanese application properly.

Azumanga Daioh is the last anime I would suspect to have a doujin fighting game modeled after it. Let's wait and see if a similar project sees a crossover with Yotsuba&!

patch.zip contains a save file that has all characters unlocked. Overwrite sys.dat in the root directory of the game (by default, this is C:\雪達磨\もっと対戦しよ～).

I also converted the online command list for offline use in advice.zip. It assumes that you have downloaded the 1.01 update from http://home.j04.itscom.net/snowman/azufight_1.zip. Extract the /advice directory anywhere and open the shortcut within.
* I updated it on 2 September with translations of the links. I'd like to have assistance translating the entirety of the documents. Contact me via PM if you can translate from Japanese to English. Familiarity with Azumanga Daioh is preferred.

If you can't get DirectX 9 mode to work, see http://www.toymaker.info/Games/html/d3dx_dlls.html for missing files; particularly, download d3dx9_26.dll in this case.

It is for me.

In my experiences, this game does not run in dual-CPU environments. If this also applies to you, I would like for you to test the patch I created for this game that will, in theory, force the game to use one CPU, causing it to run properly.

I made it just because I had problems installing it when I went to a friend's house. They have a dual-CPU system and the problem baffled me for a time. I made the patch for that computer, but I know that there are other dual-CPU systems out there, so I released it just in case.

I can obly play the OP video then I get an error.

I updated the Dx9 and I already play Fate Hollow Ataraxia on it so it's isn't a regional problem.

I did.

It plays until the opening video is over then before it goes to the start menu, There is this error message and it stops.

Just use DirectX 8. From my experiences, it doesn't look too much different than any other mode. I can't think of anything else that would cause this at the moment.

Finally figured out how it works but...

It is as hard as hell.

I was only able to pull off one super move of Yukari-sensei's. In the 30 or so times I played.

I will put it on hold until the easier version comes out since I don't know how to decrease the difficulty levels.

Edit: Hmm, it says "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it."
However, I am still connected to 3 peers? I'm not sure what DHT is, but that's how they're connected, apparently...oh well. Seeding!

Hrmm I still cannot get past the opening movie, my system locale is Japanese and my Windows is Japanese anyway, so I can't see the problem really... I have Direct X 9, have tried running under different compatabilities....unsure what to do next =X

Go to Azfight dx9. Once u get to the scribbled version of outside the school, this is when buttons become functional. Start by clicking N to pull up the menus. N=Ok, M=Back. The first menu is actual battle, second to last is practice, and the last is options, thats all I know. Once ur In battle, the atk buttons are N,M, comma/lessthan, and period/greaterthan. Basically, all the buttons u need are N and the three after it. It is pretty simple.

I was able to get this to work on my old computer but i'm having the same problem(crashing after movie) with my new one. It was meantioned earlier about the game not liking dual cpus. Is that the cause of the crash?

Ive tried using both my ps3 and 360 controllers and anytime i try using any button it ERRORS out the program and closes.

The game runs, but the menu screen never comes up, technically. I can actually hear the menu, and voice overs, but it just shows a still screen of the intro. I am running Vista and my system is set completely Japanese.

hmm...it seems that when I put it on my PC, the game runs perfectly fine. I don't know whether that's because I'm using a laptop, or I'm running Vista, because I have XP on my PC. I will try playing with compatibility on everything, and will post my findings...

after playing around with the settings i have learned that for some reason, running it in fullscreen fixes my problem completely. I thought of this, because when I would stretch out the window in windowed mode, i could actually see some of the menu, but it had a frozen animation panel on top of it. So, I switched to fullscreen, and now i can actually see the menu! And I can play the game without any problems =^ - ^=. Hope this helps someone out out there...

Hey all, I found this thread after getting Azumanga Fighter myself.
I'm having the same problem as Pamsy123. I've tried starting in all three modes, all three crash when it comes to the menu. I installed the patch, had to download d3dx9_26.dll, tried running it again.
Except before, when I ran the DX9 version, it had a garbled image, but now the image is fine. It still crashes when I get to the menu, though.

Running XP Pro 32 bit on 64 bit single core processor, 2gb DDR2 ram, Geforce 7600 GT.
Any ideas?

I see two seeds out there but for the moment it hasn't peaked over 0.1 kB/s.

Actually.. I'll probably find out it crashes on my system just like problems others are having, but still I've got to try. Azumanga Daioh revived my appetite for anime that had been dead for several years.
