I have been playing Guilty Gear for xbox . I dont like to use EX characters or Golden characters. I dont see the point in using them. Anyway. I need tips. I use chipp. He is good and all but...he does little damage and die way 2 fast. So i need some tips. Im the type of gamer who use fast characters. I have always believe is all about Speed and Defense. N this is the problem, Chipp is good in speed but bad on defense. So any recommendations?
millia is fast and doesn't need to work quite as hard when dealing the damage. however u need to be extremely well with ur timing and improv skills when doing her mixups as u will need to think on ur toes to keep the opponent guessing. also u will need to memorize many different variations of her relaunch cuz her relauch combos r character specific.
jam is fast as well and deals ridiculous damage. if u have never played her u may complain that her range is short but when u get used to her and learn to use and abuse the right tactics u can really annoy ur opponents. still don't know what i'm talkin bout huh.....well u have many options u can go to gamecombos.com(although i hear they'r moving at the moment to dustloop.com) or romancancel.com or u can simply post at the ginormous gg thread in the gamers corner. others as well as i will be more than happy to elaborate and help u more there.
if i recall correctly we were just recently talkin bout chipp. other new members have also recently started posting in the gg thread. hope to see u there.
Chipp stinks... well, if you're a beginner anyhow.
Like wyze said, I would recommend Millia if you want somebody fast and capable of dealing damage.
If you still want to amuse yourself with Chipp, go into training mode and do D > JK, JK, JK, JK, JK (jump cancel somewhere) JK, JK, JK, JK, JK...
It's a magic how all those kicks land. :D

Millia and Sol, not as fast as Chip, but far better then that monkey :p :D

Hmmm, this is weird. I went to gamecombos and look for GGX, but when i click on a character it says

gamecombos is currently in the process of moving. all the mods and thread starters r responsible for moving there threads over to the new site(read the first post). u can try going to romancancel or even shoryuken be i don't think srk has character specific threads i usually go there just to chat with other socal players and to get news on tournies. u can always post in the hf gg thread, it's that gigantic thread in gamers corner u can't miss it!
Don't listen to everything on SRK. A lot of people give bad advices and false info. I'd recommend you to stick with expert guide created by expert players.
Even the stuff that we post here on HF are pretty iffy sometimes. Take everything by grain of salt, and learn the game step by step.
