My understanding of it is, reaver's looking for a image editing program along the lines of photoshop and GIMP that's user friendly for beginners, bit isn't as taxing on the computer as those two previously mentioned programs since his system can't handle some of the more advanced programs. Since he's was planning on making sigs with the prog, I don't think MS Paint is going to cut it :p.

I use photoshop primarily, so I never really kept up on what other programs were out there. I'm sure there are plenty of other progs out there that meet this criteria though.

Try Pixia. Or install old versions of Gimp/Photoshop. Just how much space do you have on your poor computer?

Edit: Also try PhotoFiltre --> http://www.photofiltre.com/
You can get Pixia here --> http://park18.wakwak.com/~pixia/

ACDSee Powerpack has a low-level Photoshop type layout and accepts Photoshop plugins. DL the triel version and give it a go!

Erm, unless your computer is a word processor from 50 years ago or something, Photoshop doesn't take much space at all...Only about 200MB from my understanding (I use PS7). And that's the average size of an anime episode.

Googling each of those progs provided several sites that offer them, so finding it shouldn't be that much of a problem.

I told you already here --> http://www.hongfire.com/forum/showpost.php?p=500684&postcount=4

Yes. Bubble Monkey is right. Simple googling will give you the results where to get all those programs.

Hahaha...don't worry about it. No harm no foul. Thing is, if you're looking for something that isn't super-rare or out of circulation, you'll going to get the "try Googling it" response every time.

Pixia is also a bit confusing for me, I'd suggest using PhotoFiltre instead.

You were asking for small programs that can fit in your hdisk right? Pixia is one of the program that fit that description very well. Pixia is one of the recomended program for its size and simplicity. But as that program is translated from japanese, yes, it maybe (the interface) easy to use for japanese people, but I seem to like PhotoFiltre more (I just got to know this program last week though from a photography magazine). It is easier to use for westerner as compared to Japanese feeling in Pixia. Just try to get used to any of that, which you think suit you better. Btw, I use Gimp most of the time though. If you're looking for tutorials for Pixia, then --> http://park18.wakwak.com/~pixia/tutorial.htm it is. PhotoFiltre is more intuitive though that it doesn't require extensive tutorial for everything. Googling would do, oops.
