Hmmm, I have heard and used PS1 emus before... stopped using it because found that it can pretty much mess up the com's stability. As for the PS2 emu, as far as I know, there isn't any so far. And how as to how to use the PS1 emu, it depends on what emu you are using. Most would autoload the PS1 game disc/iso you inserted.

I remember I used a PS one emulator since my PS was starting to stop loading and lagging and stuff. Anyway had a real hell of a problem. But the Emu worked just great. Never heard of a stable PS2 emulation thoe.

You can download emulators (PS1) from zophar.net, however you cannot download the BIOS because its copyrighted. But if youre set on making it work im sure you can find a working BIOS somewhere out in the grey zone that is file sharing...

There are PS1 and PS2 emulators.

PS1 emulators are far enough along that you can just about any game if you're patient enough to properly configure them. If you go to ZMD (http://www.zophar.net/wwwthreads/postlist.php?Cat=&Board=general) and ask politely, someone should be able to help you out. By "politely", I mean use proper grammar, don't use emoticons, and do not ask for roms or bios. It's a very harsh forum if your posts sound like they're coming from a 12-year-old. But enough warning :D

PS2 emulators are not nearly as far along as PS1 emulators. Some emulators, most notably PCSX2, can start some games and actually get into menus (or sometimes even the game). Don't let the screenshots fool you, though. You cannot emulate the games to the point where they are actually playable. They will still be very buggy and, most likely, unbearably slow. Here (http://www.ngemu.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62230) is the FAQ page for PCSX2, which should clear up any other questions.

PS1 emu is pretty easy to find. Most popular one is ePSXe at the moment, which requires a bios that you have to search it by yourself on the net. And also you have to find the plug-ins and try out which combinations of plug-in is best for your computer. Another one I'm using is the out of date VGS, which doesn't need a bios. But you need to find a patch the VGS or you are not going to be able to play any unoriginal copies games on it. As UglyJoe already mentioned, take a look at the PS emu section of Zophar's Domain. They have a very nice selections of PS emu in there and description of how each one of them works.

About PS2 emu, from what I know it is still in early stage. And I don't think there is any 'playable' one released yet.

Not to be abrupt, but this is the wrong forum subgroup to ask this question. Please post in the PC section. This area is for torrents only.

There are no optimized PS2 emus out yet (Omg the fps are horrible in some games and others are playable but iffy, tried playing Dragonball Z Budokai and only got 1-5 fps good stuff :) ) But for a great ps1 emu use epsxe 1.6.0, if you need any plugins im one of the people to ask i even have a ton of games originals and the other kind :) (I have a decent amount of rpgs)
