Note to whining Jr. members: you could at least be polite with your response. This is a community. But they're correct...the last 2 seeders just disappeared from the swarm. Yes, it's unfortunate that the new fighter not only requires you to have a log-in... but it's not free, either. 400 yen. >.> The Jenius' fighters appear to be free, though... still requires an account.

If someone tells me a place where I can upload it to for extended periods of time (AKA: Not YouSendIt/RapidShare/etc), I'll do it. Maybe I'll do RapidShare... >.>;

But, after testing the game, there are glitches. Maybe it'd be easier to sort them out if I could read Chinese, but I can't, so there are glitches I have yet to solve. For instance:

-Once the three new fighters are installed (QF-3000, VF-1J Max, VF-1J Millia), starting a new game will give you the QF-3000 and Millia's VF-1J. For some reason, Max's won't show up. However, I have used previously saved games to get Max's... but if Max's VF-1J is in the selection menu, the QF-3000's skin doesn't work. Therefore, I think that until things get sorted out, I'm just going to leave the extra fighters uninstalled.

-The saved games are all over the place. The guy included a bunch of his save games, but there are so many that it's impossible to tell what's what. Some have parts of the game complete, some have--seemingly--all... it's confusing as to how this guy sorts his files.

-On the mention of sorting files, the installer for the new aircraft is also broken. It includes two versions of the same file--one works and the other doesn't. Stupid thing is, the one that doesn't is the one that installs into the default folder. You have to fix it manually. I have no idea why the heck he'd do that.

-All assistance files for this release are in Chinese. If somebody here can read them, that'd be awesome, because I sure can't.

Edit: well it seems the file on the website is an exe, futhermore it seems its only 37 megs. funny the game where downloading is 720 megs.

Yeah, they compressed all of the game files like crazy, apparently. I still find it amazing that it could go from 720 to 40, but...

Anyway, with the multiplayer bugs, never mind. Got 'em worked out. Was just silly things like setting the win limit to 10,000 points and there being only a player and a ship and thus impossible... or two players on the same team... things like that. >.> Multiplayer's fun once it makes sense.

I love that you can go back into your carrier and re-load and such! That's freaking cool! And quite cheap in multiplayer games, I might add!

Controls, mostly translated from the text file
1, 2, 3, 4....change weapons as indicated on the top right corner
Shift....fire gunpod/laser
Space....fire missiles at locked on targets
A, S, Z, F, G, B....transform:
A transform from fighter to battroid, difference with F is that holding A will make the velocity 0 and not move forward
S turn autopilot on
Z transform from fighter to gerwalk, difference with G is that holding Z will do the reverse boost
F transform to fighter
G transform to gerwalk
B transform to battroid
W....boost, be careful about boosting after the green circular gauge in the center of the screen is full, boosting will damage your craft after that
H....aim gunpod, used for shooting down incoming missiles, hold H along with Shift
N....switch missiles' targets between three modes, planes, ships, and auto
D....change view
U....return to base? I can't read that word, press U again to cancel

Gerwalk has a small radius for turning, has some sort of aiming ability, can't boost
Battroid has good aiming for the gunpod, but can't use missiles; also does something special when the enemy is near...
Fighter is able to boost, no gunpod aiming

numpad 1 and 3....move aircraft horzontally with nose boosters
F5 and F6....radar switches
F8....cockpit mode
F7....turns off all onscreen indicators

The "N" key also changes your autopilot option. If you pick VS PLANE it'll lock onto enemy fighters. If you pick VS SHIP it'll pick enemy cruisers. Then you can use the auto-pilot to follow them. Very useful!

Totally didn't know about the H key. I was wondering how you target missiles... That'll be useful when using the beam guns!

That "special thing" which Battroid can do at close-range is double-tap Shift. It's a melee attack. And yes, "U" is return to base.

the green circles on ur radar are the missile locked onto u, and if they turn white then i think that means u're facing them... seriously it's like near impossible to keep up with the missiles are trying to shoot them down, especially when u have like 15 after u in all directions @__@

The missiles are okay to shoot down... I usually switch over to head guns (beam gun) and fire as they're being shot. But that's because I'm good at head-on fighting.

No, the English patch doesn't work. This is because the English version is v1.14, whereas this game is a custom-upgraded v1.20. I dunno about the version of the game from BitTorrent, though.

Multiplayer rocks! Successfully tested it out with three people. Very fun!

No, it works, the audio is ripped though. I think. It's a solid game, and hard as hell too. The download .exe. also includes a savegame that doesn't even have all the level B weapons...It's difficult. This game also includes full joystick support.

For some reason the CD image version won't finish installing, can't read the Japanese error messages.
I tried using AppLocale and changing my system to Japanese, neither worked.

BTW, what am I supposed to attack on the last stage? I blew up one of the SDFs and couldn't find the next target.

FTP server I'm connected to right now is "slow" (~15kbps), but it's a solid connection and like I said, they have a bunch of addons that makes the whole deal worthwhile. Perhaps someone more enterprising than I am would compress the files (the game is up in .iso format, oops!) together and start a torrent with that.
