Ok, I totally get the band-aids over the nipples, but in several pictures/manga/doujinshi, I've seen girls with band-aids over their vagina. What's up with that? I've never heard of anyone ever doing that...

I think it's a way for them to be risque without having to draw our favorite pink spots. Yet I think it's neat because it makes you wonder if she has injury in an interesting place.

Just speculating, but aren't band aids kinda symbols for youthfulness? Because they are usually associated with the bruised knees of small kids. As ActionK mentioned, you often see lolis decorated like that to emphasize their childlike appeal. And one day an imaginative artist had the idea to move that band aids to certain other spots, maybe as a creative method of censoring. :p
As for the chastity-thing ... a band aid would prove quite insufficient, me thinks ... it would need a charm. :D
