Yea thats what my Co-Worker said he got to do, He said while working at his other job at circuit city, he got to play test revolution... I did nothing but Laugh and tell him he lied straight out to me. This is what he said happened:
He went into work this weekend and when he went to his break room, there was a rep. from nintendo showcasing the new platform to the circuit city employees, he said when it was his turn he got to play he got to play a sword fighting game. He also added that it sucked.
After i shot down his blatenet lie with remarks like:
They havn't released any gameplay footage, havn't let the public play test it, Won't be showing it at the Nintendo fusion tour (where they are showcasing a lot of major games and releases as well as having fall out boy and some other bands play). They wouldn't let game review sites post the pictures of the demos. There havn't been any Real pictures of the System or gameplay leaked out (that i have seen or heard of) on the internet or elsewhere. Which wouldn't really be plausable if they are letting kids play it in the break rooms of circuit citys
And the Last thing i said to him was And of all places in the US why a circuit city in RHODE ISLAND!??!?!! seriouslly of all the states... RHODE ISLAND?
After all this he looked a little cornered, but still stood behind his LIE.

ha, even if it was true, he would be the ONLY person who hated it after play testing it (all sites and magazines i've read have praised the controller and the idea)...
Your co worker is just another casual sony/x-box fanboy..

if that were true, then nintendo would be able to sue him and circuit city to the ground for probably violating an NDA(Non-Disclosure Agreement). Also, no retailer would ever get a shipment of Revs when they havn't even released a launch date. Also I don't even think they even finalized the design of the machine.
So yeah, it's all fanboyism.

Wow Non-Disclosure Agreement... The thought never even crossed my mind... i mean i said the basic elements of it to him... but i never said or thought of the NDA.
He said he only got to play test it, and that the nintendo rep was just showcasing it. THere wasn't a shipment of them. But man the NDA that is something i completelly forgot about.

Why would they send out a representive to show the game to low lvl employees? Even a manager is a low lvl employee, so unless a CEO was there i truly doubt they would waste their time and wouldnt even try to risk info getting out to people who wouldnt benefit them in anyway, unless your bud is a advertising agent for circuit city, even then the chances are damn near non-existant, and even if he was they really cant plan around a console who can change its look and specs on the fly since its still time to make changes to the console

In the end that was all the make believe story of a simpleton who wanted to attract attention by saying that he had tried first hand the Revolution when practically NOBODY else has. He's either REALLY lucky or else he's REALLY autistic.
And he went through with it to say that it was crap? Wow.... simply.... wow.... I'm not sure that guarantees that he was a rival fanboy but it does reveal that he desperately needed attention. At least he got it for a short while, right?

Think about it, the system itself isn't even got a solid design. They are still changing the shape and size of the system. It was way to early for any company to be getting the copies of the system. When a company is still so hush hush about it (they won't show any of the games they are producing for it... Mario or Super Smash Bros.) I just don't see the credability in my friend saying that they let some Rep take a Developers Kit out into another country to the smallest state in the US to a random circuit city to let a couple of little kids play it in the break room of a store. There was no publicity. There was no "you can't say anything about this. On top of it there was no security to stop someone from stealing it. When Sony was showcasing the PSPs at E3 (i think it was E3 anyways) they chained them to the demo girls and had security. I just don't believe that they would trust a rep to go to a store with a dev kit and not think he wouldn't steal it and run away. Nintendo is so secretive about their new stuff that the new mario game has been in production for a couple years now and no one outside the production team has seen anything of the game.

Y'know, by posting this, you're only giving this guy the attention he obviously craved for.

If we all laugh at him, that more than makes up for it.

Besides:
He probably doesn't even use teh internetss (LOL, k, not rly, but still funny)
Like Phlogistic said, we're bashing at him rather than praising him
I believe he wanted attention in the manner of admiration (as in "Wow!!! You've played an N Rev!!! I will completely follow your suggestion no matter how awful it is!!!!")
All I have to say is that he got the attention he wanted...
