yea, i think he mean it by english subtitled too, since the movie just come out in the summer, its not possible for the them translated it this fast~
and also, some stupid people change detective conan's name into something like "case closed", i saw it in bestbuy one time, i was like what the hell?! like it already got a english name and yet they still want to change it~ so i think, if this is really translated to english, the file's name should be "case closed" instead of "detective conan"~!!

If you think "Case Closed" is a bad enough substitute for the anime title, wait until you see the cast names.
Mouri Ran = Rachel Moore
Kudou Shinichi = Jimmy Kudo
Mouri Kokgorou = Richard Moore
Genta = George
Mitsuhiko = Mitch
Ayumi = Amy
WTF is wrong with them?

Irony is that they left the main character to be Japanese. Conan Edogawa. They should have left ALL the characters to be Japanese. It's really bad enough that they have crappy voice actors.

I didn't watch the American Doblague for Detective Conan or Case Closed :) ... Thanks to the guy who invented bittorrent, we can watch the Japanese version.

I'm wondering, am I the only person to think the audio has some problems with this?

I manage to do some script correction, no offend to the original releaser, but the original script comprised some mistake.
The most important ones , was the incorrect spelling of the characters name(typical HK or Taiwan DVD released english sub), for exemple togo muri for kogoro mouri (some are completly imaginative :p) etc, etc...
Some minor grammar sentence, but since my level in english is not perfect, i dont' pretend to do a lot better, so i corrected only those which seemed to me really incorect of badly written.
I made some minor edit enhancement(to be most reabable), translate all the name appearance on the overlay, and correct the translation on the book(edogawa conan=> edogawa ranpo+Conan Doyles).
Then Completely retimed the movie, so it's was perfectly watchable, but not enough accurate...and...i've added the Ending karaoke(simply english/Japanese).
I confirm that the sounds on the original .Mkv is saturated a lot, personnaly i did a mix with a raw which had .ac3 tracks.
So i do this only for me and fun, no offend to the releaser who have full credit for the translation/adaption(since i don't know the source).I just like to share my work for those who want to keep the movie.
You could eventually remux the .ssa in the .mkv container via MKVTOOLNIX(it's very simple).
Sorry for the long long text :)

oh if forgot to precise. I choose for the Ending Karaoke the font "Tabitha" and i don't remenber if it's an original windows font or not(enventually you could change/download it)

I see you extracted the script from the MKV file. The fact you wanted to correct some mistakes is a very good idea from you, but at least leave the names of the original translators, me and my team members, also the team name. Instead you added this:
"English Translation by Rika [ICHIGO]\N(ichigo.edogawaconan.com)". You didn't translate it, you can write Edited by Rika. Others will think you are the one who helped them by giving the script, while me and my team will fall in the sea of the forgotten :)

I did almost exactly what Shinto-Z did (corrected grammar and names, although almost no retiming). Get the audio from other source too and replaced it. Anyway, I think there's no need I upload my version now :(
@ Hiragana and/or Shinto-Z:
What prog do you use to sub? I've tried a few but I can't preview the different styles in .ssa (like Edogawa.Conan over the book, I see it like any other sub string).

well like i've mentioned sooner i just did this for my personal purpose in the 1rst time then decided to share for those who didn't already burn so i forgot to add the original credit since i was thinking it'll not be really a ditro just a "bonus" for those who wanted it(in other word i think everybody knows the original releaser here and prefer for myself "clean sub") but you're right if you want to correct and add your original credit just do it, you can it's not a problem :) . The main reason i removed it for myself it's to avoid "mass non related movie information" since i'm not a team ^_^.It's true that i should'nt keep the rika info but i think you misunderstood , it's just the credit for the ENDING song not the credit for the sub ^_^. In other word i don't even know rika :)
so you can even use my correction and even enhance it for you own purpose(even without mentioning me

here is a v3 with the original team and translator mention , i hope you'll be pleased with that :o and don't be ofended for my oblivion.After all it's normal to mention you since it will eventually move on the web
I've used Medusa , but substation alpha do the job too, subtitle workshop is a good soft too, even more simple , but suck ass with the .ssa/ass style.

:) No need to apologize, i was picking on you earlier just for fun ;) . Let us not forget the reason for translating Anime, the reason why everyday a new translation Group popup from no where. it's just a hobby today i translate for you tomorrow you do the same for me. Maybe some groups thinks it's alrights reserved, like they invented a nuclear bomb or something !
but we don't :)

Thanks Hiragana for the release anyway(since nobody dare to released it for a long time)and...now a v4.
there was just really minor correction:
1-corrected edit position for the overlay book on the OP
2-corrected timing at 00:21:19 "i got it"(disappear too fastly)
3-corrected grammar at the end "you knew she WAS the killer"(i think it's more accurate)
That's all, i think it'll be my final edit, unless others find another mistake in the grammar(please be free to edit/or advise)

May I know how to apply the .ssa file to the movie?
Is it just paste the file in the same folder as the movie or need to name the folder which is with the movie as well?
Shinto-Z

the movie file and the subtitle file needs to be formated the same way(ex: conan movie9.avi & conan movie9.ssa) AND in the same folder.
off course you'll need vobsub(vsfilter with matroska pack) or a capable player to read your sub. that's all
