R.I.P.

Something tells me Ledford *cough* ADV CEO *cough* is gonna drag down Geneon/Pioneer with him. What with his "buy Super Famicom for $150, take advantage of people's ignorance and sell for $1500" mentality.

We can say bye bye to all the nice DVD extras and pencil boards as well. Gonna get stuck with all the crap ADV makes themselves probably.

Well, maybe Dentsu will wisen up one of these days and forget this insanity.

Old news, been discussed at all the news foras already where people also made a fuzz about it as many didn't understand what the press release really was about.

No, Geneon is not being closed. It is a project where the firms will work on bringing anime on tv and making new titles, not the companies merging. The companies will stay seperate, it is just a joint venture in certain areas.

I don't think it'd die. it is a pretty major anime dubbing company.

Mergers = Bad.
Look at the G4TTV incident. Although they call it a merge, TTV is basicly gone. The shows that are left have all been bastardrized so bad.

Somehow I don't recall saying it's being closed. You read way too much into things.
I'm saying they're gonna get screwed doing any partnering with Ledford and hope that Dentsu will get out before they get in too deep, but that's it. :p
And usually it's partnerships like this that lead to mergers anyway.
Saying Rest In Peace usually signify that something is dead and about to be buried, and I'm quite certain it's not just me reading it that way.

I could lead to more, yeah, but I'd wait and see before getting scared of bad things happening, it might end up better than expected.
