Man this game is sweet as hell! I love the story and how the camera changes when your in the other world and when your in your room two different camera modes have made my experience with this game better! I would recommend horror fans to get this because its brought back horror and they do it well too!

SWEET!!I can't wait to get my hands on this title, been a fan since the PSONE DAYS. I know Konami's going in a new direction from the last few as it's more pychologically scarier than the last three.

*Wails* I've got to wait even longer to play this - I'm in the UK.

The demo looked good, but I personally didn't like Cynthia's voice (umm, just me). I'm not sure about the direction they've taken it in, but a lot of the old psychological horror still seems to be there, along with the rusty, bloody, degraded, depressing look that I love about this series ^_^

I've already hand-made myself a Silent Hill 4 full theme for my laptop... in preparation O_o;;

I tried playing SH4 but I didn't like the combat system. I kept falling victim to the dogs.

I like the story though.

The gameplay isnt too great. The game was more of a follow story and get to ending and its not easy this game on normal mode. I hate when you are able to choose your mode for games...

I finished SH4 last month, while it was a good game, the 2nd half got kinda frustrating (you had to protect someone following you).

Im curious where do you live? Because I live in Canada and it just came out 2 days ago. So tell me how you got it before then. Unless your talking about SH3 then I can understand but SH4 explain it to me.

It wasn't out a month ago, anywhere. It was released to PS2, XBOX and PC less then a week ago.

Actually, as far as I know, in Japan they released it earlier. (Supernova had this version about a month ago). It was fully playable through in English (as an option).

I am waiting for the official european release though, as I play it on PC, and the Japanese weren't big on Silent Hill 4 for anything other than the Xbox and PS2. Consequently, it would have been harder to track down for me :(

Yeah it was the Japanese version, but it had full options for English language.

I haven't played SH4, I have only played SH3 and didnt enjoy it much.. The battle system is like Resident Evil gone wrong.. Good storyline though..

Well played about 4 hours now and I have to say I don't like the combat system and that you can only bring 8(or was it 10) items at a time and then the melee weapon focused combat...You don't really want to waste inventory space carrying around ammunition for pistol...Overall too much RE in SH4...

I still think that SH2 is the best from any SH,then comes SH3 cause I like the story in it :D
