Hey all,

I was wondering whether there was a way I could rip CG/Music from a game files (rather then finishing the game through all the story lines to get all the CGs and using an audiograbbing program for the music). I've searched on google, but have had no luck in finding any programs to do this.
If it helps I believe the CGs are stored in .mcg format, and the music is stored in .bgm format, but I have no way of verifying this.

Thanks in advance,

GoldenCrater

If you want to try extracting and don't mind doing some work, then I'd suggest either Susie or Grapholic. These two programs work by having you identify the format used for the CG/music/icons/etc, and then using the correct plugin to extract/convert them into something more usable.

English translation of Grapholic: http://sircus0001.hp.infoseek.co.jp/soft/Grapholic.rar
Susie: http://www.digitalpad.co.jp/~takechin/archives/susie347b.lzh

Grapholic is probably the better of the two, as it can also use Susie plugins, provided you have the Susie .dll.

Be warned though - they aren't always successful, and you will have to trawl a lot of sites at times trying to find the plugin for some of the more obscure formats...

HTH.

Thanks for the links wyverngirl. With about an hour of searching I managed to find the right plugin and managed to rip the cgs ^_^

(Incase you were wondering it's the CG for the game "Please Teach Me ABC" which (of course) are now on the tracker)

Thanks again,
