^^ Awesome... are they any specific rules or requirements, then? Like... if we incorporate an image into our design (which I probably will XD ), does it have to be something that we've drawn, or can we just use something from our/a gallery,

As far as i can tell all work will be rated equally but that does not stop you from using originals. If they look good they will be rated as good theres not much more to say to that. I know when i look at originals myself i usually think damn i wish i could do that so who knows how they will be rated.

No you dont have to use original works I know i cant draw and if i was making an image i would be using images from screenshots and such. All i can say is be as creative as possible.

Currently there is no real Official Logo for Hongfire.com who knows maybe someone who enters will come up with what will be the official Logo.

There is no one willing to put a 3mb banner on the homepage. Banner is for ppl to place them on other websites to link to hongfire.com. So 3mb is too big.

1MB is also too big. I'd say a good maximum size limit is around 512-768kb. You gotta be considerate about dial-up users browsing the site; not everybody have access to boardband connection all over the globe.

Banner Design Tips. :cool:

Banner is mainly for advertise on other websites. So the main use for the banners is to place on other websites to attract vitsitors.

So a banner should have attractive message and also attractive graphics. That makes as soon as anyone saw the banner they want to click on it and to check the site out.

That's why for banners gif animations or flash are recommended. For example if you use gif animations and flash you can place more messages into the banner. like "HongFire Network, We have all your anime, Gaming, Manga, CG gallery Neededs." something like that. this is just an example no need to write excetly what i type :)

Basicly you just have to think what HongFire.com have.

We have: Active community, Big Image gallery, Animes, Games, manga. Any words that can attract vitsitors.

Here are few good flash banner example http://www.getchu.com/top.html refresh it few times it has different banners.

Normal Jpg banner are good as well but it really depends how attractive it can be. :)

Don't use your VIP statue as an excuse. If you love doing something, then do it. :D
For the VIP, you can always "donate" your won one (if you can...) to the second best artist.

Come on let's do it together, it doesn't take so much time : let's say 10-30 min for images searching, 30-60 for creation and that's all !!! So don't tell me you can't afford 90 min for your favorite HongFire.com and your favorite hobby. :D
