Ahahaa you crazy people, watching it while you eat dinner or before you go to sleep, I dont think I could do that. I try not to eat while I watch someone getting ripped apart. I have a weak stomach. Can't even go on rollercoasters without a barf bag. Hehe

Very good anime. Despite overabudance of violence I think this anime is pretty nice and kind. Violence really heps to emphasize good relations between people. Kinda like Saishuu Heiki Kanojo. Like it a lot. Although yes, first few eps are pretty bloody and disturbing. It gets better after that.

I like this anime :D it's someting we dont' see often. that's why i like it. bloody and funny. this anime sometimes is comedy and sometimes is volient and sometimes is sad. I think it's really good. i watched up to raw ep 8.

I feel realy sadfor NANA...she is really a kind and cute girl..but she suffers too much...I hate nyuu so bad when she torching nana... and in mid eps, nana will be killed ...so sad..hope the story getting happier for nana..if they decided not to kil her....

not just sad it also has a dark side to it... the anime is different from any anime I've seen and I think it adds a new genre that involves bloody goreness and innocence from ones side.

well at first i was reading the manga during my boring tutorial, where my TA are BS-ing her way thru Kinesiology, so i decided to read it during class, then got hooked already. Seriouslly i watch the anime, not a good idea to watch it at night. As Xel said, u do kinda get paranoid, especially when u'r living alone too (yeah, i live alone, so don't watch it at night when u'r alone, XD).

Only 1 group doing the translation, Fuan. They have only release up to v1c2b from a total of 8 volumes. Their website is currently down, you can get it on IRC.

Even though it was pretty gory and bloody, the only reaction i got was "Awww, they killed off that character!".... That's probably because I have horrible experinces of watching torture/gore hanime... These things don't affect me that much anymore.

The manga disgusts me though. But still good.

You find Fuan at #fuan@irc.irchighway.net or their site at www.fuan.org (currently down).
There's also a new group that's doing the translation, Got-Nyu? at #Got-Nyu?@irc.irchighway.net. No site. They've only done chapter 01 and I haven't see their quality.
You can also try some Fserves on #mangareaders@irc.irchighway.net.

Hopefully, the new group, Got-Nyu?, will be translating until the end. Try their channel or at Anime-Fin Tracker. (http://tracker.anime-fin.net:6969/) They've only done chapter 1 though.

If you're looking for Fuan's chap2, try some fserves on irc. Most good fserves have it. I DL most of my manga in irc at SplDCC or Ceros fserves. They have lots of manga in it and i think elfen lied is still in there.

If everything's failed, PM me and I send you chap2. Or you can read RAW :) .

Elfen Lied = EVIL!!

a friend of mine suggested that i should watch this, and I did. so so disturbing in the first few eps. but this is a series that you don't see often, which makes it that good. and the poor puppy :(

After watching episode 13 gotta say this anime really surprised me after what i saw in the first few episodes. Great ending a really enjoyable show for those that will give it a try.

I really didn't think Elfen Lied could end well but I was pleasently surprised. I thought most everything wrapped up nicely. I read rumours about an OVA, possibly some kind of side-story in the works but they're probably just rumours.

An OST would be nice. =/

I'm reading the translated version and so far is preety much the same, except that the anime have more blood IMO. But Kouta and Yuka looks way better in the manga version.

But from I've heard the Anime is an incomplete story, because the Anime story ends in Vol.8, but there's a Vol.9 already so I dunno...(I heard that somewhere, don't kill me if I said anything stupid ^^"")

The OVA is like preety much confirmed but it's gonna be a side story with Nana (GO NANA!). Not to mention that the anime and the manga are quite different around...Vol.6 and the real end of Elfen Lied will be in the manga like most of stories.

Since a few people want to know the real ending here it is...I mean it's not the ending since the manga is still ongoing, but here's the events after the end of the Anime.

The girl on the door in the end is really Lucy, but she's back as Nyuu so she lives with everyone for 6 months...them turns back into Lucy.

A new guy from that company (they didn't had a name right?) attacks the Inn and tries to rape Mayu (T_T), but...BANDO (O.o)...shows up and saves her.


That's what I heard that happens in Vol.9, I might be wrong since there isn't even a raw scan of it so far, so I might be wrong in a few things or might be wrong in everything. ^^;;;

So all we can do now is wait for the Vol.9 scanned...anyone cares to try to find? :p

Ah, and there's might be an OST 2 since at least 3 or 4 musics from the anime wasn't in the first OST.

Wow o Wow I gotta say this is a great anime id give it a 10 if i new for sure there was a sequel but for now its an 9 but god the character development and story of this anime is amazing the violence and nudity is intense but if u can get past it its definitely worth watching
