Since I bought the complete Dragonball mangas I guess I'll have to name it as a favorite :D

There are many mangas I like even if I wouldn't really call them good.

But one piece gets an honorable mentioning for quality and story: Nausica

Flame of Recca - Overabudance of many cliches. And because of the 2 main characters and this whole stupid protect-the-princess concept. So cliched that it is not even funny. Maybe if they would somehow complicated their relationship in the beginning I would start to care a little, but after watching how HE suddenly decided to protect HER because he always dreamt to do that.... Sorry, can't stand this utter stupidity. So, after hearing that stupid jerk shouting "I will protect the princess" in the 100th time within a matter of a few chap(eps) I was totally turned off. Besides that the manga is not bad and actually looked promising and interesting, but the overabufance of many cliches (that was main but not the only one)has really turned me off.

Tenjou Tenge - that was my mistake, really. when I first started to read the manga I got the impression that the main character was the one guy with black hairs in the beginning (because he was the first one to appear in the manga) and Nagi - the bad guy. Unfortunately this impression was left with me because I generally don't like jerks like Nagi. So when things started to develop in his favor I was disgusted to say the least. Even understanding who was who didn't help me afterwards. To me it was like reading the manga with bad main character. I did read everything that was available at the moment (to the ch. 48 to be precise) and i admit that the story and execution is interesting and gripping. But I couldn't get rid of that disgusted feeling about the main character so I gave up on the manga afterall.

Oh yeah, one more thing. The anime version of TT is a real shame. What draw me first to the manga was beautiful drawings, but even they were lost with the anime version. The style changed completely and animation is below average too. A total dissapointment to the fans (I think).

Not as well known in the rest of the world, but it used to be huge in Japan. It's definitely one of the best four-panel manga ever. The sequel, "Coma Goma" just ended this past summer, so I'm a little sad...

SAINT SEIYA EPISODE G (The is my favorite manga at the current time even though there is no release in English, but knowing the story and the characters are more than enough)

SAMURAI DEEPER KYO (One of the greatest manga ever, I saw it up to chapter 245 and it's damn cool, there are many great events in the manga and it's far better than the anime, Hotaru is my favorite character ;) )

JOJO'S BIZZARE ADVENTURE (Bizzare!! Another cool manga, I saw the first three parts, Jonathan, Joseph and Jotaro's stories, the manga was really so great, I like it alot, my favorite stories are the second and third...)

ANGEL SANCTUARY (Honestly I don't read romance mangas, but this manga is so great, the art is one of the greatest, wait it's my favorite artwork maybe, I like Kaori Yuki's style, there are alot of cool characters such as Kira Sakuya/Lucifer, Raphael, Michael, Uriel...etc and alot of sad moments)

BERSERK (Of course I know there are alot of people who likes this manga, I also like it but the problem it's full of hentai which I don't like, but Gutts is great especially after wearing that armor from VOL 27)

Lilim Kiss is a rare find, by the author of Ichigo 100% I think? Its what introduced me to the concept of Succubus and succubi initially. Most people I know who knows Succubus know it from Capcom's Darkstalker games and VS series (Morrigan and Lillith).

No doubt why I picked it up in the first place huh? I won't go there. Enough of it for today ^_^.

I grew up in the "golden era" of Jump comics though (mid 80's - early 90's) so I would have to put Slam Dunk, the early chapters of Dragonball (when goku was still a kid...when there was actually a story and not just totally random fighting) and Yu-Yu Hakshou (once agian before it suffered the same fate as DB and ended up in random "the main character is NOW the strongest entity in the multiverse" fighting)

GTO gets my vote....why? It's the only "Almost" complete manga collection I have so far. I bought Vol. 1-23, waiting for the last two. Maybe Volume 25 will come out by end of July 2005 from Tokyopop? *sigh* started to buy it since 2003. So slow. Anyways, GTO gets my number one vote.
