I don't know...according to my friend who went there for Marvel, Evo 2k4 sucked, only the people were cool.
And that owning of Jwong (I replayed that at least 20 times the first time I had it cause it was so funny).

Daigo got second, lost to KO again.
KO's Yun is cheesy poofs.
Yay KSK, still trying to use Alex XD against top tier characters.

Edit: Actually I have ?some? if not all of the Super Battle Opera 3s footage, it's downright hilarious.
Basically it's Izu's Makoto 3-0ing everyone else's ENTIRE TEAM, including KO's team.
And he jumps around like a monkey =D.
His partners never had to play =D.
(I like Makoto, but so hard to use...)

Also have the 3s 5 on 5 cup in three parts (It's really large)

I saw this vid a few weeks ago. It's sick what that man can do. It'd be cooler if he red parried everything after the first hit. Anyways, if anyone is looking for some good tutorial or combo vidz, check this site.

God damn.....He sure got solid balls. He even when so far as to jump parry the last hit of Chun-Li's super-art just for fun (which wouldn't connect anyway if he's on the ground) Solid video.

I saw this movie a couple of weeks ago and it's probably the craziest sh-t I've ever seen in a while.

It's absolutely ****ing insane, I tell ya. Unlike the boring-ass Hadoken matches I'd see at the arcades damn near daily when SF2 was popular. It's all the Ryu-Ken players would do! At least, until someone did a Hurricane Kick or Dragon Punch, went through the fireball, and just comboed the guy to death, since that's all the other guy knew how to do, usually.

My problem is that...well, it's not so much that I don't like top-tier characters, but they're never the most interesting ones, style or playtype-wise. And I always go for the playstyle that suits me the best. The problem is that those characters are almost never at the upper tiers. So I'll never play in tournaments due to games being programmed against the characters I like.

sounds like you were playing scrubs back in the day...yeah everyone played ryu and ken back in the day and used to do that, but they're really some of the worst characters in sf2. if that's the stuff that you're complaining about, then the competition must have not been at a high level in the old school games, because in higher level play that stuff doesn't fly.

Nothing wrong with that mentality, but top tier characters have way more options than the low tier ones, thats why I find them more interesting. No problem with playing low tier chars if youre playign for fun, just dont expect to win any tourneys ^^

Oh...BTW...it's good to see that that evo2k4 clip got posted everywhere on the net...that was one of the best moments in SF history, bar none. Poor Justin, I gave him a pat on the head when he came back.

Hongfire, not sure if youre reading this, but you can get several match video updates from www.video-opera.com. The guys from there post daily video links for a bunch of 2D/3D fighters, it's a great site.

well I've been playing alpha 3 online for awhile now, and theres no hadokens at ALL, even with Ken and Ryu! Amazing stuff really, but then again cross kicking is so cheap T_T
