Sure, this probably belongs in the Sony forum, but this demo can be enjoyed by all. For those who never heard of Echochrome, it was shown at E307 at the Sony Press Conference. Here's the video... words can't explain how cool it is. Just watch...

There is a demo out. It's located here and it is owned by the Echochrome creator.

When you start, you can press F2 to get a sample level. But there isn't a working puzzle element as it will be fully functioning for the PS3's PSN store.

Credit goes to NeoGAF's Panajev2001a.

Wow, it looks nice. That's a really nice concept. However, a puzzle game on PS3? Why waste the power of the console on a game that is monochrome? Actually, a DS would be the best platform for this game, due to the touchscreen. Nevertheless, it also is planned for the PSP, so I might get the game for that.

I think this game is made by Sony japan studios, so we probably won't be seeing a DS or Wii version. But as far as the "why on PS3?" question, i'm pretty sure Sony wants to attemp to get a hold of some more casual gamers (yes even though the PS3 is 600 dollars) and build up their network to compete with the already booming success of XBL and XBLA.

The Ps3 has plenty of mini-games that are a few dollars each.

But anyways, playing the demo. I am getting kinda frustrated making my own level. I can never get that block where I want it to go...keke

Yeah the block placement thing is a bit difficult but this wasn't exactly designed to be anything more than a simple demo. They probably have a better creation interface when it retails.

I threw about a couple hundred mannequins onto the demo level... it wasn't slowing down. XD
