Ys Origin is before Ys 1 and 2 and its not same story line, and yes you should play Ys Oath before Ys Origin. (other than being able to play in english)

Yes it's true. Oath in Felganna is in fact a remake of Y's III. Either way, I picked up the actual game a while back. Now that I have a english patch. all is right with the world. Props Ichise!

I really can't find any English patch...where is it...?
Please do not missunderstand what I am saying and this is not a critic against you directly but why is everyone in this forum uploading at rapidshare.
Rapidshare SUCKS!!!
Because if you are not paying for the account you can only download one file for a day or you disconect your internet everytime and then download again...but this also do not work forever...my experience was that after 4 or 5 times it stops and don't let you download anythig anymore until the next day.

I know some other filesharing sites delate the files after a while but not everyone.There is megaupload, sendspace or Zshare.

I mean I am happy anyway that you and all the other let us have these great stuff but please please not everytime at rapidshare...I mean it is better than nothing but its not the best.

the game was great. albeit, it was very short.

i think i know why some people get a black screen problem where the program doesnt respond after hearing the falcom logo sound.

if you patched the game in english, then open the config.exe

for me, it said "Hardware vertex shader not found"
maybe this is why some of us cant play this?

I installed the game then applied the english patch. However, when I double-click on any of the icons (ys.exe or config.exe), it spins a bit but does nothing. I've got Vista 64-bits.

I`m new here end I tried to get the game YS: The Oath in Felghana to run on my PC.
But it don`t work. I have a Notebook with Vista and I get only little Windows with some Japanese signs. Then I created a new Path called "Application Data" and it is Installed now, but when I click on the Icons nothing happens.

Did I make something wrong?

One thing, all files must have same name, you have to download them all, not almost all xD

Ive got a problem with this game. When i try to run it, black screen appears for few secs and then it jumps back to windows like nothing had happened. It is same for YSF_WIN.exe and YSF_WIN_DX9.exe
I have tried with patches, without eng patch and without any patches at all but its always the same

ok, im lvl 50 with maxed equips and im at the last boss(one floating and spam skills, and makes you float with ice attack), and i'm stucked. I cant seem to defeat it. all my attacks cant reach or has 0 damage! even the long range fire has 0 dmg.
