I was reading some of the thread in here and I was shocked that no one mentioned My Sassy Girl on Movie disscussion. I think this is a great movie. One of the best Romance Comedies I have ever seen. Now there even making a U.S remake, which I think is kinda stupid because the movie is already a masterpiece. Here is a summary of what its about for those who havent seen it.

Based on a series of true stories posted by Ho-sik Kim on the Internet describing his relationship with his girlfriend. These were later transformed into a best-selling book and the movie follows the book closely. It describes the meeting of Kyun-woo (Cha) and an unnamed girl. Kyun-woo is shamed into assisting the girl because the other passengers mistakenly think she is his girlfriend. Once he helps her, Kyun-woo develops a deep sense of responsibility for her which enables him to tolerate (somehow) the girls abuses

I highly recomend this movie to who anybody. This is a perfect date movie.

I found that the girl went to far in her behavior towards the boy and also how she had treated him. I also didn't like the fact that the story and also the lenght of the film was just time consuming. I have to admit that it was original and that both the boy and girl acted well, the discovery of the actress playing the girl (Ji-hyun Jun) was a real cash cow in South-Korea. Canon payed her millions to dance in one of their commercials. If it is true that no-one seeded this film in the movies forum, i'll do it right away.

nah that subway scene was good but when she got him out of jail and did what she did I was laughing so hard especially when he was eating and how he looked

The film did increadibly well in Korea and has to be seen in the context of Korean culture. The phrase "Wanna Die?" is supposed to mean something special in Korea. I don't think a Western remake will do well cause much of the style of comedy in My Sassy Girl would not go over well with Western audiences.

new member!!! finally can register!! I watched my sassy girl 19 times since it first came out cuz i like it so much =D but the prequel windstruck was horrible... it was way too farfetched and the story overall was just kinda odd

I thought it was one of the greatest romantic comedys ever. Seen it about 4 times now. Both the actors are absolutely wonderful and the ending makes it so much better. The phrase "wanna die" is definately a great one. And the fact she makes him drink coffee. Good stuff.

Yes, this was a funny/romance movie, but it's sooo old. Now, i think Two Guys is the funniest movie I've seen. You guys should pick it up. It stars the same guy from, "My Sassy Girl"

My Sassy Girl is indeed a very good movie, highly recommended to those who engjoy romantic comedies. I don't think any remake will do it justice. The original is perfect.

It is definitely something u watch with a girl/girlfriend but it is definitely a movie you should watch. It has all the great elements to make a good movie. This is a TAD old but still definitely top 10 watch it with a chick flick. I heard rumors about the remake....i HIGHLY doubt it would be as good.... i mean....who would they possibly star in it that makes this a perfect movie?

I don't think any other actress can define 'sassiness' so naturally and thoroughly as Jeon Ji Hyun did. The main male lead was good too, with his funny constipated expressions whenever he was forced by her to do something.

On a side note, does anyone know where to get the OST of My Sassy Girl and Windstruck? There were some pretty good songs in both movies...thanks in advance. ^^

Strangely i watched this movie with a bunch of my single buds one "lonely" Valentines' Day a year or two ago. Suffice to say Jeon Ji Hyun's acting was so good that i was glad to be single. ^_^

korean shows, always have a .. setting that every-single-one-of-them follow.

There must be comedy, mentally weird, and romance in the story. I dont know why really, but it seems to be the same in every movie that is korean i have seen except the horror genre.

Note that the thing that is different from any other movie is "weird casts". Maybe its in their culture, but anyway this show is really good. For some reasons or another.

good movie, i recommend it to everyone, although if you aren't korean, you will miss out on some of the comedy b/c its inherent when you watch something from another culture. I heard they are making a US version of this movie and cameron diaz is going to be the female lead?

you could try windstruck. they say it's not as good, but i think it's by the same makers of my sassy girl. a few of my favorites are the classic, lover's concerto, too beautiful to lie, my little bride, and a romance of their own. you could try these if you want. the one's that are really comedy are my little bride and too beautifull to lie, the others are more on drama, but written well.

Yes, this is a great movie just as many of the other reviews state. This movie seems to have a psychotic feel to it for some reason, maybe because of the main female role. I really want to see that American version of this, who plays in it, and just the acting compared to the excellent original movie.
