download and use 7z to extract the file ^.^ winrar is ok but with *.001 ,*.002 you must use 7z .

Alice Parade no longer shows the same error message, on not being able to find the file, but there is a new error with the file being corrupt no matter how many times you download it.

I was looking through the Haruhi collection and find a few pictures on the net not here. For example, like a 2006 April calendar pic and a few more. Correct me if I'm wrong, but maybe they are in a Noizi Ito book called Suzumiya Haruhi no Kashiu? Here's a pic of the cover:http://gallery.minitokyo.net/view/295017/


Yeah, another problem I face same with some people here... files which are extremely large, like In's- Workshop, Ka-E-N, after I download them, they can't be opened. Be it 7zip, Winzip or WinRar.
The message appear when using 7zip is " Cannot open file <name of file> as archive".

I know many of you use Download Managers for downloading off of MediaFire. Perhaps you could try downloading one of those WITHOUT a manager. Just try. :P Sometimes, DMs corrupt the download, and the only way to fix those without downloading the whole file again is by checking parts on a torrent and downloading the missing parts of the file. Of course, that would involve getting someone who had all the files to make a torrent...

EDIT: For example, I dl-ed ALICE Parade (as it was mentioned earlier in this thread to be causing someone problems) w/o using a Download Manager. It probably took me 5 times longer to do so (lol 24 minutes), but at least it's complete and works for me. :P So what would you rather? Downloading it in 2minutes and not being able to open the file, or downloading it in 10 minutes (you lot probably have better internets and are geographically closer to a server than me) and being able to enjoy the wonders of Noizi Ito?

I never use download manager, Kanzar. I download all using plain simple and long download.
Alice Parade works for me the first time. Fantasista took a few tries but was successful too. It's those few artworks, I tried the second time but failed too. Those files certainly aren't small either.

After the fourth file lager than 80MB failed to open after waiting a few hours, I decided to stop and ask for help. Any idea why?

Hey people, for some .001 etc. things you can use HJSplit. It works! And I finally got Alice Parade! So ty for uploading all of this, and im VERY thankful for the Shakugan no Shana Lineart!

It still can't work, AIRyume. If it's splitting files, 7zip already offer that kind of application. I can split the files but each file still give me the same error message...

Maybe this has to do with the extension (.zip, .7zip)? Since for these few files, they end with .001, .002, instead of .7zip. Well, I tried changing the name but that won't work too.

I used UniExtract to extract those.

Perhaps the problems people are experiencing aren't corrupt files, but incorrect extraction software. Winrar will not support this, 7zip should, UniExtract will.

I actually tried UniExtract before HJSplit. It didn't work too. I also tried one called Power Archiver which....*surprise*, failed.
Sorry for the trouble. I guess I'll have to get them some other way.

To tamechris, you should have this part file like this in same folder,

Noizi Ito_Peace Pieces Artworks.7z.002
Noizi Ito_Peace Pieces Artworks.7z.003

Then use HJSplit and choose Join, the INPUT file should be Noizi Ito_Peace Pieces Artworks.7z.001. Don't worry the rest of it, it will automatically detect if you put the correct filename. And then wait a moment till combine all file then use 7z or Winrar to extract it. Don't hesitate to ask if you have problem again.

Finally!! Finally, it work! Thank you so much ,bedevil!! Now I see, as a single file alone, 7zip won't recognize it. It keep saying it can't be opened as an archive. Too bad AIRyume didn't elaborate further when mentioning about HJsplit.

Now that I join the 2 files together (Ka-E-N), the newly joined file can then be open by 7zip as a whole file. Finally there's someone who know the answer to my problems.

i find that its the excat opposite, download managers most of the time completes the file before saying that its done and only occasionally corrupts some files

but without download managers files seem to say that they are finished when it hasnt downloaded the complete file, which is why they are not openable after download, especially using firefox, i was downloading Arashi Kaze's Nana Mizuki Discography and i was through 2 and half albums (DOWNLOADING SINGLE FILES ;_; ) before i realised that firefox was ruining them all and they all ranged between 2 to 30 seconds per music file downloading by firefox, so i had to redownload everything again using IE ~_~ damn firefox

Increasing the number of parts increases the chances, as the manager must piece the parts together and sometimes it doesn't do that very well.

I have never failed to download a direct download link with Firefox. Ever. Whether it's single-thread download or using DownloadThemAll!, I will never have to load up IE.
