Out of all the games you have played, which one has been the biggest bomb, the scourge of the console, pestilence of boredem, and all over bad purchase/rental :p

I'll start things off with the only game I never want to play again, which was an SNES game called Brandish *shivers in horror* I was suckered into renting it bedcause the box looked good :/

SpellCraft for the SNES. It had some type of action turn-based combination system that was annoying and almost impossable to enjoy (for me), and on top of that the magic system was based on alchemy, which isn't bad in itself but the fact that your a mage who starts off with only your stick and no other type of magic is pretty sad. I still hate that game.

"King Of Monsters" for NeoGeo, lol. It's so crappy to the point where you can't stop laughing... One of the worst games for NeoGeo, and possibly the worst fighting game ever created (yes, way worse than Mortal Kombat).

I'll upload the rom if anybody wants to see it for themselves. :D

"Dikatana"

That word is infamous, because its the title of what could be considered the most hyped up, and longest in development PC game to date, that was a complete and utter failure when it was released, and for me, it was one of the WORST games of all time. When a PC is sucksville, the term "Dikatana" is usually heard, and Mr. Romero's legacy was not only ruined forever, but his name is synamous with another often used word, to describe a bad game-

"Craptastic"

As for total crap, try Total Recall on the NES. That game, and pardon my French, is a peice of shit. Horrible controls, graphics, sound...and it had virtually nothing to do with the movie it was "based" on.

I wouldn't say ET is the worst game ever, cause unlike most crapfests, I was able to beat ET on the Atari years ago. You people have named "meh" games, seemingly bad titles, that did actually appeal to players.

Brandish for instance, has a very hardcore RPG gamers "underground" type following, and it was quite popular in Japan. Like 7th Saga, it was a very hardcore RPG, that only the best of the best could play and enjoy, and when I first played it, I hated it. Later on, I would keep going back to both games, and I would get farther and farther. Eventually I beat them, and had conquered two of the most insanely difficult RPGs around.

When you say "Worst game ever", take into consideration if you could possible play and beat it, rather then like with somthing like Guardian Heroes Advance, where its nigh impossible to beat the game, because of the worst slowdown in history.

Personally, I can beat ET in 40 minutes or so, so I donno what the hell reviewers were smoking when they said it was most nortorius and crappy game of all time. I would have to say Swordquest on the Atari was more difficult and near impossible to beat..but I beat that too, so I can't say as much.

My call for worst game ever is still Dikatana though.

The worst game I remember playing is Lagoon for the SNES. I have never seen such a small sword relative to the person. Since you could heal just by standing around, the small sword really made things tedious rather than challenging.

In regards to a previous post about Populous on the the SNES, I would like to say that it was a pretty cool game. Sure, the view was limited, and the controls were a bit clumsy, but the concept and overall gameplay were great. Floods, earthquakes, knights, the player could make them all to defeat the enemy. The different worlds were clever too: little Frenchmen, aliens, piglets, computer bugs, and others. I enjoyed Populous when I played, so a statement that it is one of the worst games is a bit of a stretch to me.

I love populous. -- --. matter of taste i assume.

Ironman on sfc suck.

Megaman X7 - X8 suck because it's in 3D.
Mario 64 and above . I hate playing in the same lv. again and again ,and tossing bowser around is stupid + non-creative gameplay.

Worst game ever: Legend of Mana. Not only did it suck, but it tarnished a great series' reputation.

7th Saga was an awesome game. I beat it, and it was easily the hardest RPG I have ever played. The good part was that it wasn't impossible though, so the satisfaction from beating it was awesome.

Anyone who says that a game sucks because it was transformed from a 2D game to a 3D game can go die. Metroid fanboys really annoyed me with "OMG PRIME IS 3D AND A FPS DUED WHAT DO WE DO?!?!?!?!?111" ...gah. Who cares if the graphics are changed, as long as the gameplay remains.

Now that I've gotten that out of my system, I really can't think of a game that was so terrible, that I regretted playing it. When I think of something I'll let you guys know, though. :o

A few games here on the atari:
1: Miss. Pacman, it was a total rip of pacman and pissed me off.
2: Yars Revenge, that safe zone in the middle was lame and my red dot cannon would ht but not kill most of the time.
3: Custers Revenge, google it! 8-bit boobies = bad... The plot is almost not even there.

Maybe I'll make a torrent of these games when the tracker is back up.

My worst games list. (Games I actually spent $$$ on)

Atari 2600 - PacMan (The first one. Ugly ugly ugly, and everything flashed)

Colecovision - None (Actually enjoyed every game I bought for that system)

NES - Fist of the North Star (after watching Hokuto no Ken I was so pumped to get this game. What a dissapointment.)

NES non Anime - Mickey Mousecapades (Disney and Capcom, I thought for sure this game would be cool. Uh no.)

PCEngine - Battle Royale (You'd think a 5 player wrestling game would be fun. It wasn't!)

Genesis - Gain Ground (The screenshots looked cool, the gameplay sucked!)

SNES - Speed Racer (I love racing games. I love Speed Racer. I HATED THIS GAME!)

N64 - Jetforce Gemini (This game was probably not as bad as the rest, but it was given a perfect score in Gamepro and was the only reason I bought it. Never bought another Gamepro after that.)

Dreamcast - Godzilla Maximum Impact (The first game I ever ordered from Japan. It turned out to be a weird shooting game that was ridiculously repetitive.)

Dreamcast - 18 Wheeler American Pro Trucker (You have 8 minutes to drive from New York to Los Angeles.... And go.)

PC - Elite Plus (I ended up with this game when another PC game I purchased wouldn't work on my system. The store owner recommended this game so I took a chance. The most boring PC game ever. Like one player Tradewars for those of you who remember BBS games.)

Certainly there were worse games for all those systems, but thankfully I never purchased them.

PS King of the Monsters was my FAVORITE Neo Geo game! KOTM 2 I didn't like much but KOTM ruled!

Rapsody: a Musical Adventure was really bad...

I actually kinda liked Rhapsody ^^; It was flawed as hell, sure, but it was cute enough that I was inclined not to care :) Plus the battle system was actually pretty fun, albeit insanely easy. It's not a classic, by any means, but it kept me reasonably entertained throughout it's rather short lifespan.

As for the very worst game I've played, there is only one game that comes to mind... Hillsfar, for the Atari ST, is absoloutely the worst thing I have ever played. It was an old Advanced Dungeons and Dragons game by SSI, we had a lot of them way back when... The graphics were wretched, the music was practically nonexistant, but none of this was what actually bothered me about the game. What bothered me was that there was no point at all.

Let me further explain. There were, as I remember, two different items in the game, and gold. The two items were knock rings, which could be used to open locked chests, and healing potions, which are fairly self explanatory. Healing potions were used while fighting in the city's arena to restore lost health, and thus further your progress. However, the only reward you could recieve for winning in the arena was gold, which could only be spent on knock rings (which could be used to open chests containing...healing potions, knock rings and gold...) or more healing potions. Now I've played plenty of games with no real point to them, Vib Ribbon comes to mind as a game that I've absoloutely adored despite the fact that it provides no real incentive to continue playing it. I'm a firm believer in the idea that, if a game's fun enough, that should be incentive enough to keep playing. Never, though, have I played a game that is not only so mindless it's depressing, but is also so absoloutely blatant in it's pointlessness. Hillsfar didn't let you develop your character, and didn't even try and buy you off with nice rewards, it was just...get gold, to buy healing potions, to fight in the arena, to get more gold, to buy more...zzz... ^_^;

For me, it was just about any game that was made and released with a movie of the same name with Spiderman 2 being the only exception so far that I liked. LOTR games were decent, not favorites, but don't hate those as well. King Arthur blows, Enter the Matrix blows and especially due to crashing, Terminator back in the day and so on. I wasn't surprised when GamePro announced that the worst game of 2004 was Halle Berry's Catwoman. Talk about poor controls and other things that possibly went wrong, did go wrong.

Hey! I LIKED Rhapsody. True, the title should have been Puppet Princess of Marl Kingdom, but it was CUTE, and SOLID, despite all the predictability.

And to whomever said that Disgaea was bad, Disgaea was great! There's a lot of awesome tricks you can do with Disgaea during battles.

I though the game was good and will clear some questions regrading Matrix reloaded. Wasted 50 over bucks to get the game when it was first released.

Craapy controls, Lousy Camera, Shitty Graphics.

ahahahaaaahahahaha - the BIGRIGS review on gamespot :D

to quote gamespot

"The basic idea in the actual game is that you pick one from four vaguely different trucks and then one from five vaguely different levels. You then compete against another truck in a simple checkpoint race. That's it. However, Big Rigs can't even get this basic concept right. The supposedly computer-controlled truck you're supposed to be racing against in the game never actually moves. It's right there next to you at the beginning of a race, but it has no purpose in the game. This is to say, actually, that none of the game's races have a purpose because there's no competition and no time limit. You win every single time. So unless you especially like seeing a winning-screen over and over again that reads "You're Winner!", there is absolutely no point in playing Big Rigs"

and the videos ---------- ROFLMAO :)

my worst game was superman on the atari 2600. i remember - on the right hand screen, a rock (couldnt get past it). on the left hand screen, a river (couldnt get past it). i was stuck. imagine it, a superman game where you couldnt fly. i mean, how pathetic, seriously :D

either that or my joystick was broken :p

My tummy ached laughing on that superman post russ... Anyway, I know how you feel. I once played a superman game(yes another superman game! No kidding!) for the family computer(its what the japanese had instead of NES) and I was stuck too! Same thing! There was a river I can't pass on one side and a huge rock blocking the other side. Although this superman can fly... but it can only fly beside buildings! Once you reach the top of the screen, you automatically get down. Pathetic isn't it? Not to mention superman was in SD... and he didn't look good in SD...

I think that ones the worst I've played...

I totally disagree with them. What a lame way of them to put it on their list like this. I think they just had to put in some kind of porn related material to keep the user fascinated in continue to read the article. It is a shame they rate games. Because they are just plain bad at doing it.

Come on they are talking about every H game. They are so bad in rating games it is a mere shame they actually rate games.

I don't know why I bother to explain their injustice, but o well.
1) First of all the graphics in a H game are superb surpassing any other games.
2) Everybody knows what a H game means, except for them :p . It is NOT some action game but merely point and click to explore. A fan knows this.
3) If you can't understand the Japanese Language on u screen why do you rate it then?, you don't know what it is about.
4) They put pr0n/H ralted material on a normal games page which is very suspicious.

and I can go on and on.

I agree with you.

If I play an hentai game in Japanese for the first time, of course I'm gonna say "It's only cheap porn", that's because I don't understand the context!. I like some english hentai games because it put a story around the sex, which is arousing most of the time. If you don't like hentai, then don't bother download this or you will be sorry, it's just so logical. I don't rent American Hip-Hop games that comes with a micro to sing the lyrics cause I know I'll say it's pure freaking crap after, it's logical.

I agree that some anime or hentai games are design only for pure profit (Grenadier, just my opinion, don't be offended) and you can usually tell by the cheesy story or the cheap, quickly done graphics and the abundant fan-service. They send the wrong idea if someone watch this for the first time!. As if it was meant to sell rapidly as possible to make money as quicly as possible.

Besides, I find it funny when people tell me they hate hentai or they don't like it. They usually are convincing themselves that it's stupid. The friend of my brother used to say that I was stupid for loving this, blabla, but after long weeks of denial, he admitted he liked how the girls are always so perfect, dripping wet, the love juice is sweet and she's always in the mood, things like that. It stimulates the same part of the brain, whether it's cartoon or not.

Anyway, I'm totally off the "Worst Game Ever" subject.

My worst game ever is : the first Godzilla game on NES where you only destroy buildings to no end. It gets boring after ten minutes since there is no point to the game!.

The problems with most Hentai games is that there is basically zero interaction. I've played games where it nearly never asks me to do anything, other than hit the space bar a hundred thousand times...I have no input in the conversation or how or when I'm going to rape the blonde too-young looking chick in the ass. I'm pretty open minded about games and anime, but even here, I'm just too bored and slightly offended sometimes to give these my approval.

Back on topic though, definitely E.T. as the worst game. All you do it walk 4 pixels, fall in a pit. Try to get out of pit, fall back in. Finally get out, fall in another. Get out of that, get captured by scientist. I'm glad Atari nearly died the year after that game came out, it was enough to make me throw my VCS in the closet for a while too.

Oh, and Beach Spikers for the Gamecube. Yeah, the graphics are great and the gameplay is fun, but I have in three years, NEVER WON A ****ING MATCH with this game. It fills me with rage just to think about it.

I'll start things off with the only game I never want to play again, which was an SNES game called Brandish *shivers in horror* I was suckered into renting it bedcause the box looked good :/
Woudl you believe there was a sequel made to Brandish? And yeah, I was like you, bought it because of the casing.

...although I'd rate Dungeon Master as worse. The gameplay was bad, the graphics just pathetic, and considering the game was a fantasy game there was no story to speak of.

Secret of Evermore - 25 minutes is all it took to have had enough of this game for a lifetime

Superman 64 - as mentioned by others, Superman has a legacy of antigaming moments

MK Mythologies - I think this is the right one - the one where you play as SubZero

Soldier of Fortune - so you say you have to kill them all to finish the level, right?

Manhunt - not mature, morally bankrupt cashcow

GTA Vice City - liked GTA III a lot, but VC is too sprawling - unless you play games 24/7 you have to d/l an FAQ to find everything

And honourable mentions to any games with either leaps of faith or fatal traps that you can only avoid by being killed by them at least once.

Woudl you believe there was a sequel made to Brandish?

Considering it was a successful computer game before it was a rather crappy SNES port, yes.....yes I would. In addition, the SNES version of Brandish 2 is actually a very good game.

I'm so suprised that no one has mentioned the game that I thought was infamous, Bubsy 3D for PSX. I think this game scarred me as a child since I played Bubsy on SNES and was all excited to try it in 3D, maybe that's why I play so many 2D fighting games.

OMG HOW COULD YOU ALL FORGET THE BOUNCER ON PS2 ?!?!?!?!? you spend most of the game watching nonsensical video's about the games crapy looking characters. And when you do actually get to play each character seems to only be able to do 2 moves (punch and kick). To say it was made by square enix aswell.......but then ff10 and its sequel are awful aswell.

ok, the worst games that currently poped up in my mind and I have even Bothered to test is Orphen for ps2, and evolution (rpg) or somethings like that to DC, and i also the old LOTR rpg on SNES was really horrible, i am sure there are alot more and worse horrible games out there, but so far I "luckily" have managed to avoid them.

i almost puke every time i see those GBC Barbie etc.. games in toy stores, and sometimes wonder how Nintendo could sell them their selling licence....

btw, I cant understand why so ppl, dont like LoM?, i really enyoyed the game, even though the game system wasn't the best, it still had really "cute" graphics that made my eye's stay on the scren every second i played it, and a really good soundtrack, good characters, and an more then ok gameplay, and that is enough for me to enjoy and beat it atleast once.
i rate it 7/10 wich is lightyears better then the worst games of gaming history.
btw, I rate the 3 games above, some where between 2-4/10.

The worst games I once owned were:
PSOne
Alien Resurrection; Terrible controls made the game almost unfair.
Dino Crisis 1; It just wasn't fun.

Gameboy:
Castlevania 1, Godzilla (the puzzle game)

PC:
Wheel of Time...
Tomb Raider 3
Unreal Mission Pack

i remember playing and adams family game where i played as fenster, i played it for two minutes before chucking it. as for one that ive finished, recently it is star ocean 3. although there have been others, i just cant get over how dissapointing that game was for me. by the end, i was hated (dispised) every single one of my characters, every one was so unoriginal, and dont get me started on fayt. the battle sytem was good though, and the story wasnt that bad itself, just the characters, uhh.

Two titles pop into my head when I think of the "Worst.Game.Ever." The first was a PS2 game called "Dark Angel: Vampire Apocalypse". I think it was supposed to be a "Diablo"-esque type game, but since the first thing you do when the game starts is die, it makes it hard to actually get a feel for the game as a whole. Literally, the game just starts mid-battle; no cutscene, no prologue, nothing; you hit Start and appear in the middle of a mob of monsters that begin to tear you to shreds. I owned this game for, maybe, two hours before I returned it.

The second title is a game I wanted to like; "Sonic Shuffle" for the Dreamcast. A "Mario Party"-esque board game with Sonic Characters sounded fun enough. However, unless you have four friends to play with you the whole time, you WILL lose miserably. The CPU characters were unstoppable. They always won every mini-game and always seemed to roll the right number on the die to get where they needed to go. It was really horrid. I only kept it because I wanted it for my Sonic collection. Ugh.

So here's an update on Big Rigs. I've somehow managed to get a copy of the game and install it. I could not even begin to describe how bad this game is. It's not surprising that the box didn't have any action screen shots on it!

Somehow, I'll figure out a way to share the ISO I made. Unfortunately, my connection is extremely limited in that I'm bound to having a finite traffic each month. Soo... if there's anyone else out there on an .edu (or reasonably fast connection) that wants to set up a torrent, I'd be willing to send the file their way.

If you want to play one of the worst games of all time, download the Genesis ROM for "Sword of Sodan." I cannot remember nor imagine a more pathetic game ever made. At least the graphics were decent (I guess), but if any one of the developers had actually played it for 30 seconds they would have deleted the code and/or committed suicide. I paid $50 for that game, and I have never felt more cheated in my life -- not even the time I bought "Alex Kidd: The Lost Stars" for Sega Master System, which was also an awful game.

Hydlide for NES. You got to a point in the game where you just didn't know what the hell to do next. You also attacked enemies by equipping your sword and walking into them.

Deadly Towers also for NES. The frustration level this game induces in you makes the original ninja gaiden's level 6 seem like euphoria in comparison. Bad controls, cheap enemies, confusing level design, and a lot of unecessary falls from great heights that lead to wasted time.

These 2 games are each horrible in their own right, but the absolute worst game I have ever played is Criticom on the sega saturn. Mere words cannot convey just how horrible this game is. You must play it in order to fully appreciate just how bad it is. You can probably get it from gamestop for 50 cents but trust me, you'll still feel like you've been robbed.

Hum I can't understand some of the opinions like Y's which I found rather enjoyable ( I can comprehend people not liking it much, but saying that it is the WORST GAME EVER ? O.O .. same goes with Final Fantasy 8, I personally liked it alot, and I can still understand people saying that its BAD or that they did not like it, but saying that it is the WORST GAME EVER is too much. )
I also found Secret of Evermore and Soldier of Fortune rather enjoyable, but thats a matter of taste, I guess :)

As for my worst games ever.. mhmm...
Okay, I dun renember the name of it anymore, but it is a stone old sex game of some sort with 3 stages and 8-Color-Graphics. The goal: Tap the button fast enough to climax. Woot. No time limit, no anything, just button smashing, then the picture of the scene changes ( no animation ) and then the next scene starts. If my memory servers correctly ( and I have no clue if it does since I was like 10-12 years old at that time ) the first was a normal guy+girl, then a .. guy+guy pairing, and then another guy+guy pairing where one of them is under a guilliotine and gets beheaded as a reward.
And thats all there is to it. Wow.

Games that I simply found bad:
Many GBA/GBC/GB games like "Sabrina The Teenage Witch Potion Commotion" or "Barbie Groovy Games".

Then I really dislike games like "Who wants to be a millionare" , A exception to that is "You Don't Know Jack" which is absolutly hillarious and greatness. But sorry, games like Who wants to be a millionare are just... how can they sell something like that? Bad graphics, bad videos, BAD EVERYTHING. The only "good" thing about it are perhaps the questions asked. And those probably would be better put in a free online script. Cause a webpage/php script would manage better graphics at less diskspace.

Lineage 2.. the graphics are good, the gameplay just sucks. My friend actually said that he only played it because of one reason. "As the level advances the textiles lessen" Which basically means that for some reason which is unknown to me the armors for female characters as they get better, cover less and less of the girl. So some armored leggins have less defense than white panties. Wohoo.

Games like "Batman Vengeance" for GBA.
There are way too many games like this. Its a side scrolling game, butfar from a fun one of course. First of all the graphics are overly crappy, really, I have hardly seen worse characters. Second they move like they were made out of wood. Then you have a few extra items and all you have to do is walk to the stage. Okay. The enemies have badly animated attack patterns, or none at all. Which means..either its a guy just standing there, shooting his gun every few seconds, or its a guy who just walks back and forth and if you touch him he hurts you. Yay.
WHAT THE HELL ARE DEVELOPERS OF SUCH GAMES THINKING?
God, it does not feel like they put any efford in it at all, its like "bleh lets just finish it as fast as possible, not caring about the result"
And the scary thing is that there are hundred bad side scrollers like this out there, it's sad, really.
Some sidescrollers are really good, especially compaired with those games.. for example the mega man series. The NES Megaman game's characters had more animations / moves than enemies in games from 2004.

Okay.. and more things:
The Apple I-Pod games ( except the music quiz and solitaire )
Okay soo Bricks. Yay, after playing it twice you keep getting thoughts like "why the hell am i playing this? Whats the point ?"
Okay, next game, Parachute. You have a gun and have to shoot soldiers out of the sky. Okay, for every shot you fire you loose points and for every hit on something you gain points. after shooting for 3 minutes you again think "What the hell is the point?"
Its not like the game has any end or saves any highscores or anything like that.

Then I have to say that the Guilty Gear Typing game is apart from the CGs easilly one of the worst games I have seen. In fact I wouldn't even call it a game for real.
It has only.. 6-7 stages I think and if you are used to typing fast you can beat the whole game on the third try. Native Japanese speaking people have it even easier since they know the words and can intuitivly type them fast, so I guess they would beat it on the first try. Okay maybe I have missed something in the game ( since I cannot read the settings ) But I dun think there is much to it.

Oh and it fails at being a simple typing game like that because its BUGGED. Yay.
I get game over since I loose all my health but I can keep typing the word just fine, after typing the word I get "You Win" over the gameover screen and the game proceeds normally as if I had won. Interesting....

FF8 is better than 7. Shaq Fu, on the other hand....

However, as far as BAD games, we've all heard of the Worms series, with such excellent superb games as Worms:Armageddon, worms:world party, and the not-so-good worms:3d. anyway, the original WORMS, for SNES, really, really, really, really, really, sucks. I have no idea how they managed to be allowed to make more of those, no matter how good the sequels were.

I agree with you on FF8, and I can't believe it took so long for someone to mention Shaq-Fu. When I hear the phrase "worst game ever," Shaq-Fu is the first thing that comes to mind.

Final Fantasy 8 may not be the best of FF series, but it's not the worst game either just because it's a huge dissappointment, there's some strong point in FF8 too :)

also worms is unique in it's own way, so it might not be everyone favourite but it's good enough (or they won't make the sequel this much right :) ).

as for the worst game ever... I seems can't think of it right now since I usually watch other reviews first (except for games which I've known much).

Worst game I ever played:
Superman for N64.

I couldnt see anything because of exsessive green "kryptonite fog"
most missions consist of flying through hoops in midair which due to the aweful controls, was impossible.
I had actually glitched right through the floor on one mission and completed it by rescuing the hostages.
I went back to Blockbuster demanding back my 5$ i wasted on the rental.

ok...worst games ever.....

PC Soldier of Fortune 2, not the first one. i really liked the first one...the second just had bad controls, unfair adversaries, ridiculous alarms....
and no means to be really stealthy. shoot a camera, alarm. silently kill one guard and throw him over a wall...alarm. on all those stages you just had to run and kill as quickly as you could...no other way about it...
and the whole game was spent near death. you *never* had any reasonable amount of health/armor, and on the easiest settings with infinite saves, i had to MEMORIZE where every foe was by playing the same 3 min area over..and over...and over....

SNES---Super Ninja Boy. rpg. OMG. impossible controls, items that, no matter where you are, never, EVER work.... Invisible enemies that gang up and EXPLODE so that you just die over and over on the same places....
and one of the cheesiest translations ever. i've seen stuff on Engrish.com that made more sense... seriously. looked like they used only half of the 256 colors...

Gamcube... Evolution WORLDS....those that have played evo. for DC know what im talking about.... dungeons consist of 10 floors that LOOK EXACTLY THE SAME. Diablo 1&2 managed to create randomized dungeons with distinct landmarks, and more than right angle turns.... you're telling me that this game can't? the game, 3 hours into it..suddenly changes. one boss fight and all of a sudden, we're re-introducing everyone...i guess evo. worlds was 2 different games... and seriously, in a game rated All ages, villians should NOT have a lolita complex.... "i like flowers...before they've BLOSSOMED"
(thats not exactly what he said, it was more clear, but still...while talking to like a 12 yr old girl.....i shivered.)

The back to the future games for NES...****ing impossible. made no sense. no bosses, just random levels that never ended.

Transformers for the NES.... one hit gets ya killed, but before you get a chance to get used to controls you get shot at and killed. played that for 5 min. stopped forever...

Twin Caliber on the PS2 is the worst game I have ever played.

It's like a third person zombie shooter on rails. This means you can't choose wich direction you want to go. You can only swing your guns, so there's not much freedom in this game.

The graphics are bad and often too dark. With the constantly changing camera angles you sometimes don't know where you're standing. The two player co-op mode makes this not easier, you often look at the wrong character. All this makes this game far too hectic.

So I think I've warned you enough. Don't buy this crap....

FF Mystic Quest
Xenogears

FF Mystic Quest because it was my first RPG and I nearly never played another. Xenogears because it made me think it was a good game before throwing disc 2 at me, which was like a baseball bat to the head.

I know, that game sucks lol... (I hae not went through the pages yet... but this is the first one I saw that I've played) I have (or have had - not sure) ... it came with my PSX

Just checked the post above mine... Knights of the Old Republic II was a great game, but the fact that there was no ended indeed did suck... I think the original KOTR was the better of the two

- There is an E.T. game for the PC too made with Macromedia or something like that; is simply horrible.
- Duke Nuken Manhattan Project: funny in the beginning, stupid and repetitive later.

Did you see that we can make an Enter the Matrix

Haha, I couldn't resist when I saw this thread. I usually hate games that get you stucked in the middle of nowhere without clue as to what to do next.

My List

Genesis - Shining in the Dark - Nearly good but the repetitive similar dungeon walls and repeating music and battling enemies with every 5 steps I take, gives me a huge headache.

SNES - Der Langrisser - Should be interesting or good to someone who never played Genesis version of Langrisser or Warsong and Langrisser 2. For some reason, SNES console dun do the game any justice, it is slowed down, the graphics is very washed out.

For those of you complaining that Enter the Matrix suxed I couldn't agree any more. Luckily, the creators knew the suxed and are making a new matrix game where you actually play Neo. The creators were forced to pump out a bad product because the game had to be released along with the movie.

All time worst game would have to be some of the kid games on SNES like Yogi bear. That was a horrible game because it didn't have any save pts. Everytime u turn off and turn the SNES bak on, you had to start over from lvl 1. Oh and the enemies were animals that looked cute and nice. My kid brother who was 3 at teh time asked why Yogi was attacking cuddly bunnies.

hmmm... *ponders*

well, Here are some games i remember being disapointed with.

Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter... I know alot of people like this game, unfortunately i wasnt one of them >.< I have my reasons :D

Final Fantasy Chronicles, Was pooh... More a multiplayer game i am assured.

Toe Jam & Earl 3 for the Xbox, Very Poor

ok... I've thought of my ultimate wasted experience... Midtown Madness. I know there are older games, I've tried to remember back to them, But i can only remember games i loved. Terminator 2 Judgement day for the Nes. That was a bit pooh. But not the worst game ever. I honestly do believe it was MidTown Madness and all its sequels

Only one I can think off the top of my head just now is Ragnarok for the GBA. Even though it was a RPG, all you did was walk around talk to people then have the odd battle (using rock, scissors, paper). Not much different from the recently released Bleach Advance except at least Bleach had better artwork and a more interesting story driving it (the way Ururu acts and fights is hilarious XD). What dragged it down was it had a similar battle system to Ragnarok.

I know what people say about GBA games but there's actually a lot of fun games for it. There's good RPGs like Summon Night but Ragnarok wasn't one of them.

My head almost exploded when you said that. Oh well, everyones got their games.

Wow, no one has said FBI: Hostage Rescue, arguably the 2nd worst game ever, next to big rigs, but enough has been said about that already. In FBI the AI is so bad, the hostages can't actually be rescued. Seriously. And Drake and the 99 Dragons too, both the movement and camera are controlled by the same button. You can't ask for anything worse than that, cept for the fact that it has auto-lockon, that targets someone else every 2 seconds. Finally, the Phillips CDI legend of Zelda trio. I cried when i heard about what they did to Legend of Zelda.

This is the ONLY rpg that I have ever put down within an hour. I usually give most rpgs more of a chance but the battle system was so horrid and the presentation was flat out bland in my opinion. Ha! I finished it about 4 times! Talk about Complicated!

Ephemerial Phantasia wasn't that bad. I kind of liked being able to play an instrument other than an ocarina in a game. Gitaroo man was way better for that though.
Also, I dig the time paradox thing.

As for people bad mouthing FF games, well, that's probably because of their limited experiences; they probably have only played very popular games. All the FF games were pretty decent.
FF8 being my favourite, mainly because I am a huge fan of the character designer, and totally emphasised with the main character at the time i played. The same character designer was responsible for The bouncer, which Is why I bought that too. Gameplay was pretty crap, but it was pretty, at least. my love for the charcater designer prevents me from hating the bouncer, even though I suffered through the gameplay...

Anyway...

As for my Hated games (PSX):
Vandal Hearts:
Set campaign after another set campaign. When do I get to choose which battle i engage in? I quit after the villiage where you have to NOT kill the villagers that are intent on killing you. I mean, your characters automatically counter attack, and kill the villagers against your will. You are supposed to be in control of a game, not the game control you (as in Russia?).

Monster Seed:
You create monsters with stats determined mostly by random chance (range of figures is determined by seed and solution type), so Lots of reloading was neccessary.
When you finally got a monster you were happy with, they would die after a couple of battles. The monsters I worked so hard to raise and had become attached to, would just die on me. If I wasn't already pissed off at the Slow-mo battle system, and ugly in game textures and models, I might have cared enough to cry.

Dishonourable mentions:
[B]Digimon World, Hellnight, Deathtrap dungeon (I was a big fan of the book).
Do I even need to say anythingfor these?

First Person Shooter or Frames Per Second

Anyways, my worst is a toss up between Robotica for the Sega Saturn (a monument to nonsensical monotony) and King's Field II for Playstation 1 (the sword swingin motion took 5 seconds to complete and looked like an elephant trunk, game was abombinably slow and boring, the attempt at "nonlinear" play left you wandering around without a clue of what to do in the beginning for more than a few hours, which is all the longer i gave this game. Side by Side special for PS. It was so crappy that I took a marker and wrote "gayest racing game ever" on the CD cover. It had graphics like a SNES game, and thats not all. It had crappy sound effects, no unlockables, and only 4 cars to choose from. The worst part is that when you only have 5 secs left on your timer, the game says "your time is almost up", and when you run out of time, the computer says "your time is almost up, game over." What part of 0 seconds left is "almost" up?

The worst games I've ever played are Driver: Parallel Lines and DT Racer. I mean in Driver, you can't jack the cars while you're running away from the cops on foot. In DT Racer, it has auto drifting and bad driving physics.

The worst game I ever heard and seen is that wacky Codename Kids Next Door: Operation VIDEOGAME... game. The show was okay, but the game has some cheap N64 graphics for all three consoles. It would have been better if that game wouldn't been made.
