I had my upper wisdom teeth pulled. One of them had a cavity and woke me up one night with severe pain which prompted a trip to the dentist. After reading up on wisdom teeth extraction, I am now paranoid about the frequent post-op complication, dry socket. Hopefully, nothing happens but I always worry...


I'd post a picture of my extracted teeth buy it's bloody and ucky, not the best thing to post online. I think I screwed up by posting it on my personal Facebook; I don't think anyone wanted to see that. Too bad I thought about that after rather than before.

    That sucks dude, I'm lucky since I don't have any problem with my wisdom teeth but I'm aware that it hurts a lot. I also thank you for not having posted pictures.

    Good luck with that in the following weeks.

    I recently had a root canal and that is one pain people should be afraid of. Not only that when I got my crown they said they did not want the "gums in the way" so of course they took the drill and stuck it in between the tooth and gum and started to drill away and they did not numb me up so I had to suck up all the pain, I bled a lot. That was more painful than the root canal itself.

    I got two of my wisdom teeth pulled at a young age. At first my dentist did it and I remember crying out it wasn't nice. The dentist stopped half way.

    After that my parent took me to the hospital and the people there where really friendly. I got a sting to make the pain go away. And it didn't even took 2 minutes and it was done. No pain at all.

    Yup it takes a while to get used to it.
