  • I have HUGE problems installing BepInEx.
    i'm getting errors and the extra mods like 'expression control' are not working, subtitle on screen, etc.
    i'm getting desperate.
    can anyone help me?

  • This maybe a little unrelated but I was wondering if it were possible or if anyone has tried to import models from Koikatu into UnitySDK to use as an avatar for VRChat?

    • pino I changed the breast size values to 0 - 50 like the readme and an answer here says, didn't make any other change, and the program hung up "forever", had to ctrl+c. Then I kept the original values and typed Choose as a workaround, cause I'm fine with the card way too, it worked. Thing is something happened to the algorithm when I changed values, tried 10 times and same behaviour. It's fine with the card, just bringing it to your attention

        Thanks for bringing this to my attention. This is on my to-do list. So the "hanging" is basically the script trying (and failing) to create a waifu which corresponds to the min/max values in the configfile.csv. Example how this can happen: say you have charactercards with all big tits and you set 0-50 as the preferred breast size in the configfile.csv. In that case, the blueprint of the waifus the script is generating, will have big tits since all the charactercards where the blueprint is based on, have big tits. And then it will fail when checking for the minimum and maximum allowed tits. And will keep trying, and failing, to generate new waifus.

        In my next iteration of the script (give me two weeks or so), I'll make the script stop after a certain number of failed attempts and spit out, which configurationline it wasn't able to satisfy. That way you can either change the min/max or change the charactercards your are using.

    • It's been almost two weeks since the last update dropped, when can we expect an updated HF patch and advanced H mode?

    • When I subtract the number of constructive posts from the number of impatient ones of a certain user then the conclusion is that this was the last impatient post. Any further will be deleted.

        As long as I'm not breaking any rules of this section, you got nothing on me besides subjective opinions and assumptions. The aforementioned mod is a major deal for the game as it offers many QoL options that most people here use and so far, updates happened very shortly after patch releases. So the way I see it, asking whether the update is being worked on or not, is no big deal.

        A user shouldn't have to tell a mod that subjective opinions are not a factor for judging a post. If you want this section to be modders only, create a new forum rank and adjust the read/post permissions accordingly. Also, by definition, the only "constructive" kind of post a user can create in a modding section or thread is a post with a bug report. And the way I see it, this thread is not only used for bug reports because there is no KK subforum specifically for those. Constructive and impatient are subjective terms one cannot apply objective rules to. Everyone should know that, especially forum mods.

    • pino First, I just want to say Waifu Generator is a simply wonderful tool. Great work. It's impressive enough out of the box, but once you take the time to configure the hell out of it and populate the source cards with a few dozen handmade/curated cards, the results are unbelievable.

      I have a few possible improvements I'd like to suggest. Admittedly, they probably won't add a ton of value for most people, but I think they'd be useful.
      1. In Verbose mode, during the character building process, tell the user if a template card won't be used because its values fall outside the bounds of the configuration. e.g. "bodycards/x.png was rejected as a 'Chest' group template. Attribute 'Breast Size' (5000) outside configured bounds (50-150)."
      2. Add the "likeGirls" key to the list of randomly generated personality attribute values.
      3. Allow the user to set attributes to be non-random, e.g. generating an army of tidy, slutty, illiterate girls with tiny bladders (don't judge me, everyone has their preferences).

        runawaygrey thanks for your feedback. I'm always happy to hear that people enjoy the waifu-generator. That's why I shared it.

        Regarding your ideas:

        1. Interesting. That's now how the script works right now. DokEnkephalin is probably on the same line as you are. The script right now, filters the output of the waifu's. So all waifu's which are created out of bounds of the configuration file, are rejected. The waifu-generator will keep trying to generate new waifu's until they are within all bounds of the configuration file. What you (and DokEnkephalin) are suggesting, is to let the configfile.csv filter the input-characterfiles. I'm not sure what would be preferred.
        2. Yes, easy to fix.
        3. Good idea. Will put it on my to-do list for the (distant) future.

    • MarC0 : Wanted to report 2 problems on last HF patch (1.3)
      - Bra push-up mod cause problem with sliders when changing clothes in chara maker (change your body sliders value upon switching to a new outfit, like swimsuit).
      - "Transparent lace lingerie V3 by lapinduracell" doesn't seem to be included in the mod (despite release notes), add to install it manually

        MarC0 The problem - at least for me - is that sometimes the slider change seems to get 'stuck' and becomes a permanent change to slider positions. I don't know what exactly causes that, but it did just force me to redo settings on a character I was working on (my fault for not saving once I had the body right, I suppose!)

        E: Oh, it looks like it's just forgetting across costume switches. If you switch while in a changed state, that changed state gets locked in permanently. Bummer. I do like the idea, though. (If/when it's fixed: is it at all feasible to have a setting/slider to set how dramatic the effect is?)

        I think the HF 1.3 patch includes an older version of the push-up mod. The file date on the dll included is 5/17, but there's a new one on the Mega site (v 0.1.1) with a date of 6/23. I don't know if updating it will help, but it might!

        Darsint I'm looking at the Mega from the Pastebin, don't see an updated, or one at all, for a push-up file. Can you provide link to updated DLL?

    • After install the last patch (1.3) the nipples are not shown in the game (story mode)
      In the "Maker" if everything is shown perfect ... but in the story mode, they do not appear ...

        Nothing complicated, it seems that some mods occupied slot that were previously occupied by other mods ... I solved it by removing the girl from the class, and putting it back

    • Updated the base game and applied the last HF patch but now I am getting consistent CTD upon entering Hentai scenes. Both on new games and saved games. I had very few mods before and only the mods included with the HF patch after. Any ideas what's up? :-o

        Did you let HF Patch delete all previous mods? Try to rename your bepinex directory and see if the problem persists.

    • What is WINHTTP.dll? What's the use ?, I have this error, the game is going well, but that notice appears when I open the launcher.

        • The installation instructions mention the replacement of the dll for 32bit OSs.

          But where is the link between the launcher (InitSettings.exe) and BepInEx? Does the HF-patch bring a new launcher which does anything with BepInEx?

          • WINHTTP.dll (and many other dll files like d3d9.dll) is automatically loaded on the application start by the system, even though the application itself doesn't want to do that. As WINHTTP.dll is loaded it automatically sets up BepInEx in current process if possible. Because of this no game files or launchers need to be changed. 32/64bit distinction is necessary because of how these external dlls are loaded.

            On another note, here's a tool that lets you convert old-style list mods to the new sideloader format. Extract your old-style mod, open the tool, go to Tools>Import and select the mod folder, select where to save the result. It can take a while for larger mods. You have to edit the manifest.xml file afterwards to fill in information.

            • Loading of arbitrary DLLs not statically linked? That's sounds a bit strange to me.

              Anyway, WINHTTP.dll may still require a certain VC++ redistribution which is not found on Asmotheus's system and then that error would pop up.

                It's not arbitrary, the dll is in some way referenced, but the one referenced is usually in other directory (in this case it's a system file). When you put a replacement dll in the program dir then system will load this instead.

                True about missing redist, that's usually the problem.

                Pardon the very extreme grave digging, but I thought it might still be of some relevance, since people do still get problems with winhttp.

                The winhttp.dll distributed with BepInEx is from this project I maintain: https://github.com/NeighTools/UnityDoorstop. While Doorstop is DLL-agnostic proxy (i.e. you can easily rebuild it to proxy any other DLL), winhttp was initially chosen because Unity imports only one function from it, which in turn kept the DLL size low.

                Howeer, because of that many people have reported problems when trying to debug games, which was due to the debugger requesting full winhttp for one reason or another. That is to addition to the dependency on UCRT.

                Both issues are now addressed in the bleeding edge versions of BepInEx (and the upcomming stable release).

                Again, sorry if this is too old a message to respond to. Just thought I should clarify some things.
