  • Humble request: can the H-subs mod be made part of the HF patch? I think that would give it a lot of exposure and is an awesome mod.

If the bugs are fixed, then yes, gladly.

Afaik, there are no breaking bugs I'm aware of since v2.

However there are some features which would be nice to have first, like loading local csv sheets and what not.

The bigger issue is that at this point, only about 300 lines are translated. That's about 0.4% of the lines.

ezdiy Maybe look into autotranslator integration? Looks like I didn't see the v2, I'll have to reevaluate.

  • Has anyone else had issues with sideloaded mods not loading things correctly after installing the HF patch? I was using the BepisPlugins 4.1 patch sideloader.dll and things seemed to be working okay. MarC0's forked version changed something and many features of my ladies don't load (clothes, eyes, hair, etc.) and I have to re-select them. If I put the 4.1 sideloader.dll back, they load up okay.

I'm curious if the changes in the fork are planned to be merged into the main BepisPlugins eventually? Should I redo all my characters with the new sideloader or stick to the one from BepisPlugins 4.1?

Not complaining, btw, awesome work by everyone involved!

I didn't modify sideloader in my fork, the changes are already in the main branch, just not put into a release yet. I made a pull request as usual, so the changes will most likely make it in.

You might want to post a bug report here https://github.com/bbepis/BepisPlugins/issues

  • Sorry if this is an obvious question, but how do you know if a mod needs to be converted to a sideloader mod? Let's say I have a mod that only contains an abdata folder, does that have to be sideloader too? I only sorta understand what sideloader even is, so my question could be nonsensical/somewhat stupid for all I know.

Basically I'm asking in what scenarios the installation procedure of just dragging the files to the main folder have changed.

The mods with only abdata can be converted to sideloader form so you don't have to copy them to your game files. Other types of mods (like plugins) can't be converted.

So is the main purpose in converting mods to sideloader to keep things tidier and easier to remove/modify? I was under the impression some needed to be converted to work with the newest HF patch.

Yes, it's easier to manage, but it also helps prevent collosions where 2 mods try to use same IDs. New HF Patch uses sideloader versions of mods from previous HF Patch versions, which is why old mods have to be deleted. Going forward I will only include sideloader versions of mods because of the upcoming mod manager support for them.

  • Anyone know of a mod that lets you select a pose from the character editor's pose list during H?

    • Excuse my ignorance, but how i can convert normal mod to sideloader ? ( I want to now because i assume that i need to have sideloader mod if i do not want to mess up my game with manual file replacing) Im inexperienced in modding, so i just went ahead and downloaded KK:FR, it works great and has a lot of mods, but how i can add more mods if it is not sideloader mod ? For example, i wanted to add collision mod but it is not sideloader mod (although it has only abdata files), another example would be improved ahegao faces - abdata files, but it also contains Koikatu Expression Control file.xml and i don't know where to put that kind of files. Sorry for those silly questions, its just hard to get into modding.

Awesome! Thanks Galguu, great to see you that you're enjoying yourself. Would you mind uploading all your character folders and maybe the configfile.csv as well? Curious how others organize their configuration. And maybe I can copy some beautiful faces/bodies/etc.

pino The configfile.csv is in the source cards folder for sake of ease of uploading. I basically just dumped all my favourite cards into all the folders and then tweaked it a bit after each batch. Also created an eyecards folder but wasn't sure how to edit the configfile.csv to read it. Also, is the defaultcards folder read too? And is it possible to edit it to read suntan and tattoo types and colors?

As always, this is edit-for-all. it's hardly everything that is in the game, I'll document config files only on per-encounter basis.

            • Quick question about making clothes! You know how some clothes like swimsuits and bras, are more form fitting than others (i.e you can see the outlines of their nipples), can this be applied to other clothes too? I'd like to make a T-shirt that lets you see the girl is going no-bra underneath! Ideally, it would only conform to the nipples, not the areola too or between the breasts. Is this something that can be done without too much fuss?

You did put in a lot of information! Thanks for posting. Please consider to put a link into the wiki so that your work doesn't get lost here. I insert a link in the FP.

One question about your mod first. Did you contact Stinger777 about the re-use of their mod? It is not forbidden on HF to re-use and publish in the way you did, but it would have been polite to ask still. I hope there was no exclusion from further usage in a readme or similar.

and you can see strange differences between shapes and must understand that there are none.

                Wet t-shirt look?
Note that "close geometry" above means, that every vertex of the clothes in the breast area must be close to the body's counterpart. You will see clipping all over the breasts if you fail in that respect.

No, it will be opaque. I just want the shape
Without transparency there should be no clipping and you have more freedom with the vertex positions.

Now to the differences in the screenshot. Illusion modified the "Rest Pose" and added an extra scaling for x and y in cf_s_bnip025_{L|R} Transforms and then this scaling was baked into the bone matrices. The newest version of Sb3UGS can revert that.

Note the checked option "Update Bones". It must be set before "Apply Changes".

When body and clothes had reverted that modified rest pose then you can see the original shape of the geometry and now all vertices are close to each other.

                Comment

                • Hmmm, I think I get it. Swimsuits and the like are weighted so that the geometry is close to all parts of the breast, but it's possible to apply the weighting to just the nipples? Would I be editing the info in "scale" or "translate"? And once I've done that, how would I save it as a separate article of clothing instead of replacing the original? On a similar note, would this be a similar process for fixing clothes that distort when worn by characters with large boobs?

                  Comment

                  • You wanted to know if it would be "too much fuzz", and I think clothes - especially tops - are king's class fuzz. The only exception is when you just want to cut existing clothes. But making new clothes is really something.

Everything I explained above has nothing to do with bone weights! It is only about the skeleton and the mesh's bones. In every 3d editor you see only the matrix of the Transform, but Sb3UGS allows to edit both (bone and bone Transform) separately. This allows to add one animation frame permanently to the mesh. And that one animation keyframe is stored in the bone matrices.

In contrast to that, if you change the matrix of the bone Transform then you kind of simulate what animations do, but what ever you do there, it will be overwritten by animations! Now in KK the animations dont have tracks for cf_s_bnip025_{L|R} and therefore the changes in the Transforms are not overwritten. But, it gets more complex, as you have to search for the skeleton which is really used, and change in that skeleton what you edited in the body's. (You have noticed that the body has no head and the head lies on the floor?)

The workflow for editing tight clothes would go like this. You will need the body or some other tight clothes to have a reference for working in your 3d editor. And therefore, you would use the procedure for reverting the changed rest pose on your reference meshes and export them. After editing your clothes and transporting them back into a unity3d file, you would add Illusion's changes on the rest pose on your clothes.

Big boobs will fail likewise. And if you would give the geometry more distance to the body, then clothes for smaller chested girls will look ugly. It will be hard to find a universal match. You might consider to do two versions of the same clothes - one extra for big boobs.

Breast value was set at 80%. Now it looks like her breast is at 1000%.

Ha ha, my bad! I've modified my copy of Koikatsu so that base breast size is increased by 50% (this lets you make girls with very big boobs but without the nipple distortion that happens when you set bust size above 100 in the maker) and totally forgot that one of the files involved in said mod is also one of the files used in the atari mod! I've included a version with stock bust size on my page for the mod. I've also left the original version there too if you want a two-for-one mod!

It shouldn't effect the males though! It doesn't happen on my system, and it shouldn't since the only the female bone physics were modified!
