  • [Utilities] Honey Select Additional Bone Modifier (v0.7.4 update 2017/06/16)

    HoneySelect Additional Bone Modifier

Apply additional bone scale modifier to a character.

    Download:
    v0.7.4 Mega: https://mega.nz/#!sAASGL7Z!Qrj3ieGer...O0gDSkkgiUjWG0
    v0.7.3 Meag: https://mega.nz/#!BJ5VQRLJ!RsJOQ6DBC...HC4i4WCNSromHI
    v0.6.5 Mega: https://mega.nz/#!wVQjxALJ!g_z0vLYNL...SUClBs1SqWTr9Q

    Old versions.

Intended to co-work with Wide Slider mod.
The configuration of this mod applied onto the original configuration.
For example, if you set a bone scale to 0.8 in original game (or with Wide Slider), and then you specify the scale 0.9 in this mod, the result scale will be 0.72 (0.8 * 0.9).

    [How to Use]
    1. Select and load a character in main game,
    2. If you load the character first time, this mod creates a text file in the "UserData/chara/female" directory.
    File name is <character data.png file> + ".bonemod.txt".

Click image for larger version Name:	1_text_data.jpg Views:	1 Size:	25.1 KB ID:	5719123

    3. Open the .bonemod.txt with a text editor.
You will see several bone names and it value (by default all turns off, scaled 1.0, 1.0, 1.0)
    <1>index - do not change
<2>bone name - do not change
<3>on/off flag (True/False) - To enabled the modifier for this bone, change this value to "True"
<4>X scale: scale modifier value. (1.0 is original scale)
<5>Y scale: scale modifier value. (1.0 is original scale)
<6>Z scale: scale modifier value. (1.0 is original scale)
<7>Bone length: Bone length modidifer. (1.0 is original scale) (v0.3.0)

Change the value as you wish, then save the text file.
(v0.3.0) You can add additional bones by specifing the bone name. When you do so, set index as "-1".

    4. The modified value is automatically loaded when you change the scene.
If you want re-load the value (in the same scene), press "Ctrl"+"Shift" + "L" to reload the modified bone information.
(v0.4.4 update) Now when the bonemod.txt file changed and saved, the file will automatically be loaded. Thus "Ctrl" + "Shift" + "L" is not necessary anymore.

Presssing "Ctrl" + "Shift" + "M" will turn off/on the modifier in the current scene.

    Keys:
Ctrl+Shift+L: Reload modified bone information. (with v0.4.4 no need to use this).
Ctrl+Shift+M: Turn off/on the all modifier (only in the current scene)

    5. In the Custom Character (Famale/Male) scene, the bone modifier information also loded when you use the "Load".
However, the modified bone information saved only when you select "Overwrite" and then save "without changing photo".

If you want to save a new character data copying from an exsiting character, do the following steps.
    1. Load existing character.
    2. Save the character as new character.
    3. Just after that, overwrite the saved character without taking photo.

    Note:
As of v0.1.0, there is no UI for chaning the bone modifier information.
Use the text editor to change the value and save.

You may modify the Players scale with by modifing the "UserData/chara/male/ill_Player.png.bonemod.txt".
But it may cause significant displacement in animations.

You probably could, but why not simply load the character immediately after you created and saved it?

anybody know why mind doesn't work. People keep telling to download IPA, but there's no IPA to download. Others tell me EMF patch but EMF patch only has ggmod and that other mod. NO BONES or IPA plugin! Already installed eMF twice now and tried loading and overwrite feature. so far no txt file except that dummy file I copied from the addiationalbonesmodifer example off zip file.

IPA is included in GGMod as well as the translation.

Have you run the honeyselect_64_patched.exe first?
do you have an antivirus running? try disabling temporary to see if that's preventing file creation.

Thank you for this useful mod.

Could someone tell me what to add in order to resize front/bangs and side hair?

I think I've been through every bone in the list and double checked with the GameObjectList download but it doesn't look like there's a modifier for JUST the butt like the butt size slider in character creation? Every one I found that modifies the butt in some way affects the whole hip/region which causes the girl's front to become protruded as well. Did I miss something or is there just not a bone modifier for only the butt?

MmTasty You are wrong yet again.
You can modify male characters the same way you can modify girls (load card in editor that is)
And if there is a bone in guy's dick (lol), you can scale it.

cf_J_LegUp00_* scales entire leg, cf_J_LegLow01_* scales leg from knee to foot.
Just scale one down and other one up. DUH

How do you modify the feet? The leglows only modify the shin part. None of them actually changes the feet size.

Hm, strange, I got them in all my bonemod txts. Anyway, just replace asterisk with L or R (capital ones), and use -1 as index. e.g.
          -1,cf_J_Foot01_L,True,1,1,1,1
01 bone is foot with ankle, 02 is just foot.

thank you vrl0ver for all of the updates you made for this mod so far, never mentioning seeing you busy on other great studio mods.

i was wondering if there is an ultimate bone name list that you or anybody can provide which contains all bones and/or active bones for both male and female chars?

i also want to ask if there is a bone that controls each part of hair alone. eg. only the back hair, or the bangs alone. i have tried these bones "cf_J_hairBC_s, cf_J_hairBR_s, cf_J_hairBL_s" effects only the back hair bit not the banges. any clue?

One way to check bone name list is to open *\abdata\chara\cf_base.unity3d in SB3UGUI and check object trees
of meshes (or is it "animators"? dunno) inside.

Other way is to use japanese ShortcutHS plugin, it has buit-in object viewer with handy filter options (there is two textboxes, one is "including", other is "excluding") and tree viewer (don't forget to check "Advanced mode" option). You can modify some bones with it, but changes are temporary AFAIK.

Also someone in this thread mentioned GameObjectList.dll plugin, but I can't access DL link. Do you need to use Jap proxy? Who knows... I presume it has the same functionality that ShortcutHS does, so it never really bothered me.

Every hair has slightly different set of bones and naming of those seems to be is all over the place. I personally use ShortcutHS and search for every bone that has "hair" in its name. Also, keep in mind that Bone Modifier is case sensitive for bone names.
Edit: Oh, wait, you are the one who created ShortcutHS thread on HF
Guess you should know all of that by now, huh... Anyway, maybe this post will be helpful for someone else then.
And if you were asking for text list of bones, I believe there is not much more usable bones except ones that already included in bonemod.txt. There is 60 skirt fitting bones, 3 bones for each finger, up to 40 hair bones and face bones (some of which are already included).

I don't have enough knowledge to explain it properly in all the correct terms, but basically whats happening is scaling of this bone is based on scene axes rather than character axes. I.e. even if you rotate character 90 sideways +Y will be towards the "ceiling" (not towards character's head) and -Y will be towards the floor (not character's feet).
Either scale evenly each of 3 dimensions and correct proportions with other bones, or don't scale male at all, just make female bigger.

There were a lot of questions on how to scale this and how to scale that, so I made

List of bones that is not included in bonemod.txt by default but turned out to be quite useful

NOTICE: Basically, bones without _s_ in their names seems to be scaled in relation to scene position rather than bone position and state
i.e. even if you character is rotated 90 degrees sideways +Y for these bones will still be towards the sky and -Y will be towards the ground
To avoid weird results (e.g. asymmetric head when scaling spine bones) use the same value for every dimension.
I'm not sure if this applies to all bones without S or just most of them.

NOTICE: I did not include face bones because there is too many and I've never used them. Too lazy to test them figuring out what they actually do. Besides, good amount of face bones are already included by default and not like you really need them, in-game editor provides enough depth of face customization IMO.

                Female bones
NOTICE: cf_ is the prefix for female body bones, to use it on male change cf_ to cm_ (some of this bones might not work though)

                -1,cm_J_dan_f_R,False,1,1,1,1

Maybe I'll update this list in the future if I figure out some more interesting stuff (like necktie fitting bones), but that's all for now.

                Have fun!

Do you have IPA installed? Its included in EMF patch, GGmod and VR mod, and you have to run HoneySelect_32(or 64)_Patched.exe at least once. Also you need to run it every time after installing official updates.
If you have IPA installed check if other plugins work.

I have IPA installed and I had run the 64 patch several times. Just to be sure I'm not misunderstanding this, the .txt file should appear when I load a character from the character maker inside the main game, right?

Yes, txt is created either when you load card or when you save existing card with "don't change photo" option.
