  • [Utilities] HS Image based lighting v4

    This plugin will load cubemaps in "/abdata/plastic/cubemaps" folder, loaded cubemaps are used as ambient source and reflection probe. You can delete those cubemaps in the "HoneySelect\abdata\map" folder now.

    The new version also support chara maker and H scenes

    How to use

    1. install all the dependency
    2. put the dll into "HoneySelect\Plugins" folder
    3. download cubemaps, and put them into "/abdata/plastic/cubemaps" folder
    4. Press F5 to load the window.

        love those illustrations, might i ask how you got those shades lighting in the second pic, is it a map i missed in a new patch perhaps?

        That is the courtyard from the ibl mod. Should be on the list if you downloaded all the cubemaps.

      Wow, Well, plasticmind (Now you are my personal hero :-) how can you handle dynamic shadows? Do we have a way to intervene? Unfortunately I noticed that often the shadows are too hard and create artifacts, they have to be adjusted, but I did not understand where!
      jtenma , Nice ladies, I prefer n.1 with a minimum of reflection, it is much more realistic the illumination with its reflections and refractions. (Degustibus :-) But they are all super pussy (eheh)

        UI tweaks

        You can easily make a fisheye lens in the new versions

        Known issue: when vignette blur corner or distortion is enabled in some scenes, you'll notice random flash bright spots.(Fixed in LREv3.1)

          Once again wonderful mod Plastic.

          Are the base settings saved to the plug in itself or are they generated and stored elsewhere? If so I can't seem to find them. Specifically I'd like to not have Vignette and Bloom turned on by default and Reflection intensity turned to say .75 to avoid some of the bronzing under certain lighting as a default. It's not a big deal to go in and turn it all off whenever I load studio, so if it can't be done I totally get it, just curious is all.

            Default reflection intensity is controlled by this mod now, the settings are in LightingRenderingAssist.xml.
            Vignette and Bloom settings are in the new image effect folder

            I am not sure what could be wrong if you have the IBL plugin installed in the plugins folder correctly. The only thing I can think of is:

            1. You may not have IPA installed correctly. This is usually what causes plugins to not work. You ran the IPA exes for NEO studio correct?

            2. You arent using this on NEO studio.

            jtenma im copy and paste the IBL plugin in the C:\illusion\HoneySelect\Plugins folder data

            i execute the neo studio exe in the IPA

            yes i use neo studio

          A suggestion for the UI.

          I'd like to know which cube map I currently have loaded. Sometimes I forget the name and have to click around until I find the same one again. This will become more of a problem as cube maps become more numerous in the future.

          Add Unity HDRI Pack by Unity Technologies.
          In an extremely high EV environment everything may look glossy, so a no sun version is helpful.

              Yeah, I try changing those 3 bloom options but nothing happend.

              just move the threshold slider, the change is quite noticeable.
              Different environment requires different threshold.

              Thank you for sharing this great mod! May I suggest an option to rotate the light map horizontally? It's sort of difficult to rotate a complex scene to fit the image light. Thank you!

                Only skybox can rotate, reflection probe won't. You can put items in a folder, they'll rotate together.

                v3.4 released: fix bugs introduced in v3.3, and this will be the last release of all my honey select mods. The new title playhome trial version is coming next week, let's wait and see.

                  This is an amazing mod. I had a hard time understanding it at first and maybe it will help any other users who read this ...

                  You want NO map or area loaded when you use this mod in studio or neo. You want a blank canvas and you press F5 and then choose the different environments (the cubemaps). I really suggest this mod for making realistic scenes. The backgrounds are stunning!

                  Is this an easy process to import our own images into the cubemaps? Could you post a tutorial on the process or is it very complicated? Thanks again for your excellent work.

                  I am just looking for a western house where you can stand in the living room or bedroom or something like that. Any cubemaps available like that?
