  • Audio codecs

    Hey everyone

Been a while since I've really bothered with anything music wise and I'm kinda out of touch with what file formats are floating around and turns out theres one I'm not familar with showing as ".m4a".

So it's showing as a lossless audio format, which is fine, but I have no idea what codec is required or what audio player is needed. Last time I checked most people were still using .flac for lossless audio but it seems to have been replaces with .m4a or .aac(?). Anywho can someone recommend me something along the lines of a codec or converter or even an audio player to get the files working?

    Cheers

Edit: Turns out I've goofed partly, foobar 2000 cna play the file extension but still after a decent converter if anyone is aware of one.
