Silver - 9/10 - 9.3/10 - Agree with michel000 about the colors being too different. Also the left side is a bit to grainy. Good job though on the overall concept.

! As to sig, yeah use a different border, and do some tough ups around the girl some areas are also grainy.

you could ask someone for an random signature code...
so it will show one of the 3, another one every time

Haven't posted in this thread in a long while, I figured it was time to update my sig when I saw someone had used the same image in theirs. So here's my new original work, my first shot at scanning a sketch and coloring in photoshop.

And now for the comments...

Silver:
Great sig, I kinda agree wit michel000 tho... maybe if you broke up the edges of the right side too it'd tie it together a bit better.

Sick background image, plus some quality borders and editing. One of my fav fonts too. Got a link to that wallpaper you used? I'd love to see the full pic.

Like the pic, good angle/cut. Could maybe use a more intricate border, something to match the lace?

Out of the new ones, I think the text on #1 could be a little thicker, it kinda bleeds into the black. #2 is quality fanserv wit nice bright colours. Without thinkin too hard I'd say go with #2, it catches the eye quicker.

hmm.. im trying something different now, but i guess im missing something, should i include a border in my experimental sig or something? I have to deal with the jaggies a bit more i guess :S

@nick: Something does seem a little off...hmmm

I think your nick would probably be better served if it were on the bottom instead of at the top (when it's on top, it's isolated and it kind of implies an 'edge' at the top...if it was on bottom, then the top 'edge' disappears, and we can appreciate the transparent cut-out more).

If you wanted to keep the nick at the top, then I think you do need some sort of border to keep the nick from looking kind of isolated at the top - something to draw it in with the rest of the sig. Maybe something like a thin line border, a few pixels in from the edge going over the character's feet, but behind their heads/hands and running through the nick (which would probably have to be lowered a few pixels)...uh, don't know if any of that made any sense...sorry.

I like the basic look, though...the yellow legal paper block at the bottom is a nice contrast...though I'm wondering if there's any way to smooth out the edges of the transparency (looks kind of jagged).

@ goddom:
1.) Much better job at blending the foreground and the background...the differences from the two dont' call as much attention to each other as they did before. Text is much easier to read as well.

2.) Like the added blue background...think it works better than transparency would have for that empty space at that corner. The thicker text is much easier to read, too, while still staying thin enough to keep the original's feel.
