NO DIM MOD v1.1 (integrated with Mitsu v1.4B)

The "NO DIM MOD" (v1.1) is a mod which allows discourse interactions (i.e. Talk about X) to display poses/facial expressions while the line is spoken. This is instead of having them occur within a fade-to-black sequence.

This used JS3Fiction's Mitsumeru v1.4 files as a base, so its features are integrated to this mod.
The discourse lines initially have no poses/facial expressions and was took them from upillu2836.


Installation instructions:
1. Get the mod containing the audio files (the one in the protected link).
2. Get one of the mods containing dialogue files (has a label, "Mitsu for no dim...")
3. Install BOTH of them in any order.
5. (Optional) If you use any of the custom personalities, get the compatibility patches for them if they're available.

When PC initiates "Talk about X" and NPC agrees, you'll hear the NPC say the discourse line (i.e. his line for the "Talk about X" interaction) instead of hearing his affirmative response. You'll still hear his rejection line if he says no.

When NPC initiates "Talk about X" and PC agrees, you'll hear the NPC say the discourse line instead of hearing his happy response (because you said yes). When you say no, you'll still hear his disappointed response.


IMPORTANT
* Back up all of your voice files (jg205_~~~_~~.pp) before installing this mod. Installation via Wizzard takes a significant amount of time because of these and the program may potentially corrupt them.

Great mod! definitely brings more immersion in the game!

I detected a problem though. Not sure if it's already solved, but it causes all 'talk about' interactions with ported personalities to have 0% approval like when you run the game without applocale, but only happens to ported personalities. The others are fine.

I wonder what caused this. I used Original Mitsu & installed both compatibility patches since I have both in game.

The original Sound Files download was too slow, so I'm downloading from the ZippyShare which is more reasonable; that said, I haven't been able to check it out, yet, but I understand what it does and am looking forward to seeing it in action!

The only two ported personalities that have fixes are the AA1 Quiet & the Empress, which have compatibility links above. So you're saying that even the Quiet & the Empress do this, even with the patches?

I never play the game without the applocale shortcuts provided by the HF Patch, so I don't know if I'll run into that problem or not. I would always recommend using those if you haven't, yet!

*Update* You're right about the 0% issue, as it happened to me with the Empress personality (both patches installed). The AA1 Quiet was ok, but when you was having conversations or sometimes just standing there, she'd pose only with her arms straight & sideways like she's trying to fly...

My dumb-ass should have taken the wise words of advice and backed up the sound files, lol!

Hahahaa I certainly did not make backups of the sound files too! (especially since the mod installs in a flash) xD Though I don't really mind since it really is a great mod. The trade-off is very little I think. Probably for now I'll just play with the others until a fix comes around. Or even if not, well, at the very least you could still do every other things with the ports with the exception of talking about things with them.

I'm not sure, but I'm going to try downloading the other version of Empress which uses AA1 poses and see if it works. Anyway, alongside the talking poses, the head tracking feature is pushing the cuteness up a notch, I think.

Now I see myself talking with a lot of NPCs. Now talking actually matters! xD

I just now opened the download page and it works fine. It's possible you have cookies/JavaScript/referrer blocked or some other problem with browser or even ISP.
Anyway, I provided an alternative DL link for the audio files on ZippyShare a few posts above, you can download there.

i am using User Interface R15 (Append Set II) by usagirei , pino and AA2 Translation Team (HD or SD optional) translation mod in the hf patch am i need to install another translation mod in the hf patch or can i use with this translation

In my personal opinion i have to say that the original is the best (the first one), and how it works, it just makes the characters more "Alives", with different poses and facial expressions, and the conversations now are visibles without fading in black
