NO DIM MOD v1.1 (integrated with Mitsu v1.4B)

The "NO DIM MOD" (v1.1) is a mod which allows discourse interactions (i.e. Talk about X) to display poses/facial expressions while the line is spoken. This is instead of having them occur within a fade-to-black sequence.

This used JS3Fiction's Mitsumeru v1.4 files as a base, so its features are integrated to this mod.
The discourse lines initially have no poses/facial expressions and was took them from upillu2836.


Installation instructions:
1. Get the mod containing the audio files (the one in the protected link).
2. Get one of the mods containing dialogue files (has a label, "Mitsu for no dim...")
3. Install BOTH of them in any order.
5. (Optional) If you use any of the custom personalities, get the compatibility patches for them if they're available.

How it works

When PC initiates "Talk about X" and NPC agrees, you'll hear the NPC say the discourse line (i.e. his line for the "Talk about X" interaction) instead of hearing his affirmative response. You'll still hear his rejection line if he says no.

When NPC initiates "Talk about X" and PC agrees, you'll hear the NPC say the discourse line instead of hearing his happy response (because you said yes). When you say no, you'll still hear his disappointed response.


IMPORTANT
* Back up all of your voice files (jg205_~~~_~~.pp) before installing this mod. Installation via Wizzard takes a significant amount of time because of these and the program may potentially corrupt them.

It's still a good find. I rarely check AA2 pastebin, and this mod was a nice surprise.

Too bad it still fades to black for the conversation "results".

Full Mitsu features:

- Attempts to make use of unused lines e.g. holding hands

* Gaze changes
- Headtracking for most personalities (some who don't have it apparently were picked arbitrarily by the author)

* Facial expression changes
- Some are reverted out of uh... popular demand. Anyways, those that remain include Lively's toothy grin.

* Pose changes
- notably on Irritated and Genuine.

* Camera angle changes
- zooming in during confessions (Manly never gets any of these, though), while Creepy gets zooming on normal dialogue.

Me too... 0% on custom characters (Robot, Empress, Succunus & Gynoid). AA1 Quiet works half, she talks like the other characters but her talking poses are a little messed up (she uses mostly Creepy´s personality poses) and she looks like a "T" on the overworld:

When Empress comes to talk to me, and i accept, she stays frozen until i click screen again and the conversation occurs like in the vanilla game (like when this mod is not installed).
And Yes, i have Both Empress and AA1Quiet´s patches...

i think this mod is not compatible with this mod [AA2][Translation][Dialogue]AA2 All-Inclusive Translation[v1.1][aa2g] and that mod doing that %0 bug i installed that mod and this mod same time and i get that %0 bug on all personalities now i delete that mod and %0 bug is göne now but i cant say anything to that custom personalities i see that bug on main personalities only and not looked the custom personalities because i not use them try the delete the all inclusive translation and try again

Yup yup, that "T" pose as you call it is exactly what I was talking about. It's a shame, as I do enjoy the AA1Quiet and the Empress, especially, so I'm not sure if it'd be wise to uninstall, for now...simply because I didn't backup my sound files. :/

Let me butt in the discussion...

I happen to be the "eiasrm" guy of the Pastebin who is in charge of this mod and all I could offer is a bit of tech support. I would normally not post here but was largely compelled to for reasons. I cannot promise I will resolve all of your problems; at best I could just clarify whether or not you would want to install the mod.

1. It is meant to work with /aa2g/ AA2's all-inclusive-translation v1.1. I know that because that's what I use, and it's the (only) one that I used as a base in making the mod.
Example:

This line used to be "I'm taking care of a dog..." in the older translation.

2. ALL modded personalities (except those which got compatibility patches) WILL NOT work properly with the mod. As discussed, you will get that 0% problem. However, the compatibility patches should eliminate the 0% problem to their respective personalities , and I have tested this already. I am certain that the problem with AA1 Quiet getting weird poses has something to do with pose port conflicts.

Compatibility patch v0.2 assumes that you have the pose ports that came with /aa2g/ Empress (they are "[AA2][Poses][AA1 Pose Port][v2]" and "[AA2][Misc][Enable AA1 low-poly poses, animated][v1.0]"). Those ports are actually what are in my blog and Empress anon happened to have started using them. You can get the ports in the blog (here and here); alternatively, you can get the /aa2g/ Empress port which has them Wizzard-ready. AA1 Quiet eventually had a V1.5 which also started using the same port, so I made the compatibility patches based off those releases. (You can find those personality releases in the AA2 Pastebin, by the way)

Indeed, I did not work with other modded personalities because no one asked me for it.

Quiet having a T-pose is because of missing low poly pose port. To be fair, AA1 Quiet port originally has Irritated's pose, so one wouldn't be aware about the need of getting the AA1 low-poly pose port until you have the Empress port.

Quiet getting Creepy's pose should not be a side effect of the mod as the default pose is indeed assigned to Creepy's.

Quiet getting odd poses is a result of mismatched pose ports. The one in V1.5 has different number assignment to it.

I am not sure which Empress port everyone is talking about here, but the compatibility patch works for only one of them.

(If you don't want to use the new port, then get AA1 Quiet compatibility patch v0.1. Otherwise, you are free to get v0.3, which works the same way as v0.2. Those are in the Pastebin linked in the OP.)

As nice as it is to get the truth straight from the source, it's still all very confusing...guess it's information overload, lol. I'm currently using Snooley's Impress Empress Redux 1.5 HONGFIRE Translations for the Empress personality, as well as Kingspoon's 1.4 AA1 Quiet. So are you suggesting we install the newer/different versions, instead? It's so much new stuff, I just don't want to screw anything up.

No Dim mod includes translations so it will overwrite any other installed translation mod. Most likely the Empress patch for No Dim is incompatible with Snooley's mod. You have quite a bit of work to do to get No Dim working with HongFire's mods and translations.
