I had no qualms with the single player, if anything it was too short as always. But, infinity ward usually focuses on the value of 'quality not quantity' which is fine.
I did enjoy the story, but I found playing the Rangers story a bit dry and uneventful. I did love every second of the Task force 141 campaign which seemed to be the better of the stories in the previous MW as well. But, this time playing the Rangers campaign felt like a chore, which a game should never feel like. Unless you like grinding
As for everything else, which I'll summarize to save people time from having to read a long drawn out report. The graphics were superb for using the same engine (despite me noticing some weak backdrops and some pixelated shadows). The sound is still top notch with an orchestral score led by Hans Zimmer, which flowed nicely in and out of the frantic fire fights. The game play remains relatively the same, with the basic shoot/defend/locate scenarios mixed with the in-game cinematics for a 'can't go wrong' combination. The rinse and repeat style game play has worked again, but I did find the lack of unique game play instances a little disappointing (the snow mobile scene was not enough for me).
Overall...A good game well worth your money even for the Multiplayer alone.
